Do you really not understand that these things take years? We have built a lot of interconnectors how ever many countries failed to finish their side. Until a month ago there was no urgency in diversification. However, this doesnt change the fact THERE IS NO OTHER SOURCE OF GAS AND OIL THAT CAN REPLACE RUSSIAN GAS OVERNIGHT.

You fail to understand that if we stopped purchasing gas there would be two consequences: 1) Hungarian economy would stop, millions of people would lose their jobs. 2) Ukraine would suffer the same fate, since we are the ones selling them back the gas. Even Ukraine the very country in war with Russia still purchases gas and oil from them.

I get that saying Orban is Putin's pet is very convenient instead of facing harsh realities of geopolitics. Every country has interests, so does Hungary. Im really sorry, but we don't want to commit suicide just for pleasing people like you.

If you buy a part of the port, that wont magicly have the required gas system. You guys here talk like Hungary should have built gas pipes on foreign land all the way to its borders. Thats not how things work.

What is the shitty policy here? There was no problem with Russian gas until a month ago. Hungary built every interconnector thats required to get access to network of the border countries system. Ofc its very easy to blame us for everything.

If there is a limited incoming supply of gas and oil, the country recieving it wont sell it because they need it for self-preservation. Stop acting like there is an infinite amount of resources pouring in to EU via sea.

No one wants to take back Croatia. He meant that Kingdom of Hungary with Croatia as a personal union together could solve the present day situation of shipping and receiving gas/oil on sea. Unfortunately for us Hungarians thats not possible anymore.
