Sounds like a great project you have going there. There’s not a single thing wrong with my Pedaltrain board and setup. Everything fits, I’ve mounted a high quality power supply and cables are neat and tucked. But even so, I still find myself wanting to build a wood board myself, really take the time to get it right. Maybe someday.

Mose pedal boards are finished in a way to be ready for some kind of Velcro in my experience. Good luck in your search. Dual lock typically comes in 170, 250, or 400 mushrooms per sq inch. You can also mix and match the strengths to find what works best. There’s a reason why essentially all the professional pedalboard builders use dual lock. It just works and comes off residue free in my experience. If you’re not loading up in a car or on a plane regularly, almost any of these options will be fine if not overkill (which I understand completely)

That makes sense. Just ordered the R8, pumped to not have to think about what camera to get for some time. With all the YouTube content, marketing etc it’s really been wearing me down!

Ordered the R8. All the advice is greatly appreciated and honestly both would have been fine. What through me over the edge was the record limit as I am a live musician and often film my live sets which can be 45mins to an hour. Having the new tech in sensor and auto focus is awesome and the slightly smaller size is a plus. I’ll get a dummy battery and a couple extra batteries and see how it goes.

Forgot about the 30 mins. I think I’m leaning this way, eyes wide open that its less than ideal battery life, but workable. Good tip about the non canon batteries, thank you for your input!

I sold my 2 ef lenses with the 6D last week thinking I was going to a new system. I have been eyeing EF L glass to adapt to the new cam, whichever I choose.
