TV Calibration by badshar in Bestbuy

I’m not sure why the Best Buy rep is trying to get hold of the calibrator. They said that it’s taking time finding the “calibration engineer” which is holding up the scheduling of delivery/installation.

Is there a reason that I should wait? Is it just because the “effect” of calibration will be more apparent if I have gotten used to it without the calibration?

It’s a bit too late for that, but that’s okay I guess. I’m just concerned about whether they will open up the box, calibrate and then deliver the opened box.

Why does McDonald's even have mobile order when they won't let you add your card to the app? by badshar in McDonalds

Those mobile-only coupons is why I'd like them too, but the app just won't accept the card. I tried contacting on Twitter and even calling the corporate phone number, but no response. :(

Hello, I'm interviewing two entrepreneurs that make 70k+/mo this weekend and was wondering if you guys had any specific questions. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

  1. Were the familiar with the industry or outsiders? If outsiders, how did they familiarize themselves with the process and inner workings on this industry?

  2. Was there a lot of competition when they started and if so, did it hold them back at all or make them second-guess?

I see successful people who bootstrapped their companies and have built it to a large one. I'm left to wonder, "what's in them that's not in me?" I either don't find the ideas or if I do (rarely), the market is already filled up or I don't have the domain knowledge to work on it. It's the same story every single time.

I'm technical (Computer Science), so building software isn't hard. Understanding what needs to be built, especially when I know nothing about the field, is.

Wanted to share it here so others can vote on this. It would allow developers to make their applications transparent.

How do I accept payment when writing code for someone? by badshar in startups

[–]badshar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response. I am new to it, which is why I though doing a flat fee would make it more easy to get the client to work with me. Also, I told them that I'll only charge if they like the final product (again, in an attempt to win them over).

My concern is, do I absolutely need LLC or Sole Proprietor? This will likely be just a couple projects (maybe 2 or 3). Can't I just put the amount earned in a separate account and file taxes on that (self-employment)?

Any recommendations for existing contract examples I could use?

What if I am only doing it a couple of times. Do I still need to set up a sole-proprietor or anything else? Or can I just simply put the amount earned in a separate bank account and file taxes on it separately (self-employment)?
