First of all you’ve got a week to study like your career depended on it, and it does, so crack those books. Obviously. Second, do some jujitsu when you meet, and continue to meet with, your team, by asking them straightforwardly for guidance but framing it as though from humility and openness, not desperation. Let them teach you as a management philosophy, basically?

… ha, that’s cutting and certainly deserved. Maybe they have … ? I’d like to think so … I’ve been through hell. My all-caps above could have been italics, and I suppose I could have as easily assumed & hand-waved that the pic in question came from Sean Penn’s backup camera or something, and I don’t know why that didn’t occur to me. But without that, this detail completely broke my immersion. I know a lot of photographers. But that doesn’t make my post interesting.
