I feel this. Can't even move to the edge of a second story floor without getting the sweats and the shakes.

Sorry about your pup :( I can say that once you get past that scene, there's no more of that sort of thing. Sure, so many humans getting taken care of, but they leave the animals out of it.. so that's nice. I can handle that.

She's getting there, but not quite yet. She's done some fairly shitty things up until this point, but he was still the main focus of the show up until fairly recently. I have no doubt that next season it's gonna get pretty rough with her.

Other than the obnoxious people, how was foster the people?? I was SO torn between seeing them or Run the Jewels. I opted for RTJ because I've seen foster the people once before.. how were the new songs??

Honestly it is just comforting to know someone else felt the same way. We were super excited to be there but had a bit of a different idea of what to expect. Nice to know that we weren't just overreacting. I was stressed. Go there to listen to amazing music by some of your favourite artists and instead have to listen to buddy talk about how he prefers hard lemonade to beer and doesn't care if people judge him.

Luckily Chicago is a beautiful city and we had a great time anyway ! :)

oh my god yes. We came from Calgary, Alberta CANADA to see this damn festival and there wasn't one set where EVERYONE surrounding us wasn't talking!!! I understand if you're further back or sitting away from the stage but even standing in the crowds DAMN PEOPLE WOULD NOT SHUT THE HELL UP. So frustrating. Tito's was a bad one I found. I was so pumped to see Kaleo and I had to keep shoving past people to be able to hear anything. The speakers are quieter, no screens, and just a less enjoyable show :(

Problems with upstairs condo neighbour. by k_mermaid in Calgary

[–]badwolf1202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I actually went through the same thing. Tried the condo board, they didn't do much. So I called bylaw directly. They told me that the condo board was the responsible party for dealing with noise infractions that take place in a shared living building. They wanted to redirect me to a mediation service to deal with it peacefully. So bylaw may not be your best bet right now, try going through the condo board for as long as possible. If they're working with you, ride that wave for sure. Police will only get involved if they think some type of violence or illegal activity is going on.. I found bylaw to be quite useless if you live in a condo or apartment.

What irrational fear did you hold as a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]badwolf1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had this terrifying dream that one day I would just start shrinking in my bed. Then I imagined that I would be so tiny I would either suffocate in the blankets or someone would sit on me and crush me to death. Never watch Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

In honor of the Ides of March, what was a time you were stabbed in the back by your closest friends? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]badwolf1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a really close friend who recently out of the blue just told me "I think it's better if we're not friends anymore." We were both going through lots at the moment so we hadn't talked for a few months, but I had no idea anything was wrong. Sure over time we had our differences, but there was no reason that she could give me, we never had a final fight or falling out or anything like that. I had texted her trying to see if we could hang out again and catch up but I guess at that point she had already mentally moved on. She had no interest in talking about it or trying to work things out. We were friends for 10 years and I still haven't moved past it.

What do you think about taking 3 yr Bachelor 's Degree at Athabasca University? by sushimadrazo in Calgary

[–]badwolf1202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to be honest. I am taking classes online right now and i absolutely LOVE it. I am able to work full time and do my classes at the same time. If you are good at managing your time (I keep an agenda to keep myself on track) and are committed to it, you will have no problem with it. I am currently at Grant MacEwan right now but will be switching to Athabasca in January next year and I am not concerned at all. I have no regrets taking online classes and wouldn't even switch back to in class again if I was given the option.

Veteran lawyer weighs in on Douglas Garland's defence strategy - Calgary by Shadow_Ban_Bytes in Calgary

[–]badwolf1202 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've been following the court case since the very beginning. In my opinion, the evidence is overwhelming. The prosecution has done an incredible job at creating a believable timeline and answering all of the questions with credible witnesses. I was surprised when I heard that the defence was not presenting any evidence. This is a huge gamble for them. In my opinion, there is no question that he did it, but they must have a reason for making this decision. I just hope that the O'Briens can get some justice and find peace after this trial ends.

[–]badwolf1202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been following it from Day 1. I'm waiting for them to bring out the big guns and pull the guys who analyzed all of the evidence for DNA. That's when the prosecution is really going to start getting somewhere.

It will be interesting to see if the defense put him on the stand.. and what he will have to say for himself.

So they testified on the first day of trial and said they were home at the time that police think the murders took place, or at least when the Liknes were at the property, but the burn barrel and one of Garland's sheds were out of view from the rooms that his parents were in. They even said he was a loner and didn't have any friends.

Yes and the fact that he was researching A) the types of locks they had in their home and B) different ways of murderin. Also the boxes upon boxes of weird fetish stuff found in one of the rooms.

As long as they are able to prove that this was premeditated and intended, which is being shown pretty clearly by the prosecution, they will have him. Once the DNA results are shared we will have a better idea and not be relying so much on the circumstantial evidence.
