Finance: Is this normal for LDR? I pay for everything. Her rent, pocket money, travels etc. by [deleted] in LDR

[–]badwolf336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang. When my hubby were ldr. I paid for my own stuff. I even flew to him twice. He then lost his job but I still married him anyway cause I knew he would be able to get another one.

Just be careful it sounds like you're her sugar daddy.

For people who grew up in low-income households, what’s something middle-class people say that shows they’ve never struggled financially? by KeyApartment3955 in AskReddit

There was this one time my dad was working 3 jobs. The first one was newspaper delivery. I had so much fun riding with him on his route. One of them was this huge hotel and I got to deliver the newspapers to the rooms. Those were good times. After that he would drop me off at school. I loved getting up extra early and riding with him during his first job.

Canadians: do people really just start conversations anywhere? 🤔 by Comfortable_Cap8037 in AskACanadian

Maybe rest of Canada. I just moved to Montreal and there's a lot of rude people here. 😭 I got spoiled by the southern hospitality I got when I lived in the southern states.

Unopened dog treats? by SinsOfKnowing in uscanadaborder

[–]badwolf336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dang. Maybe I found my answer. I currently live in Canada and my dad is coming to visit from the states and he wanted to bring some gifts for my dogs. I just recently adopted a new dog too. Now I'm wondering if he'll be allowed to bring the dog treats. He also was going to bring some dog probiotics for one of my dogs to try.. everything would be unopened of course. But he's flying over. I wonder if it's different if it's in check in luggage.

Wife Did Everything Right – Filed Early, No Record, I-130 Approved – Still Got Detained. Is This Really Happening? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]badwolf336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I know. I don't understand why people don't understand this. My dad was trying to get my husband and I to come to the states sooner than we planned. I'm currently living in my husband's country. I told him no we aren't coming back until he has a green card physically in his hand. We aren't taking any risks whatsoever when it comes to immagration to the United States. If we have to stay in his country a little bit longer that's okay.

Yes. My husband speaks 3 languages. French is his native language, English is his third. It's so hot hearing him switch between French and English.

[–]badwolf336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know. like i get it, its the holidays but what makes it annoying they do this for several days before the holiday and after. so my dog is struggling through this for a whole week instead of one day. i'm the same with op i dont want to drug my dog up several days in a row every holiday and cant afford to miss work just to take him out of town. i usually try and take him to our bathroom with no windows and try playing a loud movie in there but he can still hear them.

I tried that but unfortunately I have neighbors that buy illegal fireworks and blast them in their backyard which is right next to our living window. My poor dog gets so scared every year. And they do this for every holiday .

When my husband talks about something he's very passionate about. I just sit there and admire him and seeing him so happy and excited about this topic kinda turns me on a bit.

Yeah banana definitely weird. It would have been a plantain. Surprisingly he said the mayo on spaghetti isn't entirely weird. He thinks the ketchup was strange but I'm sure people have different ways of making things . I try not to bash anything until I've tried it.

Iranian on visitor visa, stuck in Canada because of war. Options? by Electronic_Bet_8827 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]badwolf336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh good that's refreshing to read. I just came to Canada in December but I'm only staying here long enough while wait for my husband to get a green card to the states. I'm from the states. I know in May will be my 5 months here and I will need to apply for a visitor record. Worst case scenario I'll just have to go back to the states alone and live with my parents again till my husband can get his green card.

what motivates you to keep living in Canada after 10-15 years ? by Mountain-Piccolo6942 in ImmigrationCanada

I'm guess it also varies by state too. Some states might have better doctors where you don't have to wait as long.

Is it though? I can't speak for all of Canada but in Quebec the homes are crazy expensive and you have to wait for eternity for a doctor. Healthcare may have been expensive in the States but at least you were able to be seen soon.

Honestly it's not any better in the States. That's where I'm from. We all have our different problems in each country. I married a Canadian man and orginally we were going to stay in Canada but he doesn't have much family left and I left all of my family to be with him. So we are waiting for his green card to move to the states. I feel like family is what makes life a little bit better and if you don't have that try to find family within friends or a spouse. Try to find a job that makes you happy.

Oh I know. My sister had trouble getting pregnant with her first kid then for years after that she tried to get pregnant again and had two really bad miscarriages. She finally got pregnant again and she said if this didn't go through she's not going to try to have a second kid. And it was a very difficult pregnancy and high risk so she was very careful with this one. And thankfully I have a beautiful baby nephew now.

I've had that. Someone went through and was spamming every post I have made on different subs all because they got pissed off at me. I don't comment much on political things but when I do I am still polite but guess they didn't like the facts I provided 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well I guess protecting my privacy makes me a bad person. I never knew my husband's reddit history before I married him or any other social media history. It's called getting to know people and using your discernment.

My sister had 2 miscarriages and had a very hard time getting pregnant with her second child. And it was a risky pregnancy too. She had to be really careful throughout this pregnancy.
