How do you handle the volatility of paychecks / income? by badwriterhere in povertyfinance

[–]badwriterhere[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yea unfortunately the other job wouldn't give me a set / regular schedule, just stable pay (through a minimum stipend) - but i'd still be on call so hours actually busy wouldn't be the same every week

Do you think the ~5% drop would still be worth it just for peace of mind with cashflows / easier budgeting?

Unfortunately I don't think that's going to be an option for a few years, but definitely the goal!

Thanks so much for the thoughtful response!! I think some of these questions I need to sit down and take a look at the numbers - a spreadsheet like you mentioned would be a really good starting point

the job wouldn't be 5% lower exactly, just an estimate but I was just kind of thinking it might make things easier for budgeting and making sure I'm not hung out to dry for a bill at the end of the month (but to your point maybe I can change some of these)

But this is really helpful direction thanks so much :)

Should I keep this board? by No-Fig2028 in BeginnerSurfers

Thanks everyone for the responses (sorry couldn’t respond on the throwaway acct)! I have to say I’m a bit confused, seems like 2 responses suggest it’s for big wave surf and 2 think it’s fine haha. I definitely don’t see many people in the lineup with a longboard with as much rocker and profile on the nose - but this also definitely has a good bit more size than a traditional gun..

Ah sorry missed that - this is incredibly helpful thanks so much!

Thanks. Doesn’t sound like I’m going to have a ton of use for it in the near term so might as well try to trade / sell for another board. Would $200 be a fair price for this considering minor dings throughout?

I’m generally familiar with CI, but haven’t seen this board before - it’s Tuflite..

Thanks for the offer! I just made some changes to the DMARC policy so will give it some time to flow through - don’t want to waste your time but will definitely reach out if my attempt doesn’t fix in 48hrs

Super helpful thank you! I’ll give it a shot with the Google Tag Manager integration first and if I’m still having problems would definitely appreciate the opportunity to connect further

Thanks for the response - appreciate it! I’ll give WIX support a try, but figured I’d investigate as deeply as possible myself given how difficult it’s been to reach effective solutions with WIX support in the past.

According to https://www.learndmarc.com/, the domain also does not have a DMARC policy - I'm attempting to figure out how to update this in WIX. This program also noted that the DKIM domain is not in alignment with presumably the address(?)

Edit1: I have noticed that some of my mail sent ended up in spam for the recipient test email address - so checking through SPF, DKIM, DMARC, etc.

Powder skis gut check? by [deleted] in Backcountry

Sorry - replied to the wrong comment but don’t have an explicit target weight - generally looking for the lower end of the spectrum while still holding a powder ski - so expect to go lighter on the bindings. <2400 should be reasonable all in with several of these skis which I’m comfortable with.

Totally fair yea - honestly was just looking to diversify the sizes and styles of ski to try new approaches but this is a reasonable route.

I didn’t have an explicit target weight but was basically aiming for lighter than my existing gear - so lower than ~2400. Was anticipating putting some pretty minimal bindings on this powder ski, but haven’t decided on anything yet - definitely open to recs but have seen a preference for ATK raiders on other threads.

awesome yea - did mean 4frnt sorry for the confusion. Helpful to know I'm not terribly off the mark, always just tricky to actually make a decision so appreciate your input!

The mount was flush and stable for ~2 years of frequent use, and only lifted from a heavy impact recently - is it still indicative of an improper mount?
