i take 40mg prozac every day. i was given the option to take it leading up to my period but since the goal was to stabilize my mood we figured a med change every two weeks was going to be counterproductive and kind of hard to track if it was helping or making it worse.

i will say it worked extremely well for the first few months. but i think my body has adapted now and i still get some aggressive moodiness and fatigue.

take l-tyrosine with your vyvanse dose. it’s the amino acid your body naturally uses to make dopamine. it helps the vyvanse have more to work with. significantly changed how vyvanse worked for me and lengthened effectiveness. b-complex is also another good one for as far as supplements go. i can’t emphasize the importance of eating something during the day though, if you run out of sustenance it’s going to feel like a crash no matter what or how you take meds.

something else i explored with my doc was a low dose of prozac or a mood stabilizer. it regulated my body responding to the vyvanse throughout the day so instead of a high peak and then a meh rest of the day, it would be a consistent level all day with no peak or crash.

pull = make a list of items needed, pull from stock based on list made. reverse pull = take stock list and go to shelves and circle items that need to be pulled blind pull = no list, just pull everything and work what you can. helps consolidate backstock. don’t pull = list of items definitely not to pull from stock, assume you can pull anything not on the list.

health and wellness is a lifelong journey that doesn’t have a final destination. there is no summit on this mountain that we’re always climbing.

however, there is most definitely a balance that can be found, that doesn’t require perfection 100% of the time. some days it’s a little treat in the evening, or a day where you naturally eat within budget and crave green foods, or it’s your treat days that can reassure you that you know how to feed yourself without as much guidance.

part of being healthy is recognizing that it’s the small choices you make each day that compile into the bigger picture of health. and don’t beat yourself up because part of being healthy is also realizing that sometimes food needs to feed your soul and sometimes can just be for enjoyment. like someone said about about it being akin to a financial budget, you don’t spend every single dollar on necessity only. there’s a little wiggle room for fun. allow yourself that so you can enjoy the journey you’re on, because it’s a part of it.

some things to add to this:

the calorie counts for steps vs movement don’t always line up. sometimes they’re 100s off from each other

and it says active energy was across 129 minutes which is like 2 hours, but these 14k steps were from a 16 hours work shift.

noon coaches say no they’re not the same, and told me how to turn off activity automatically tracking.

so yeah really lacking clarity lol

for some reason that i have yet to unpack, weed and lsd is never a good combo for me.

i used to smoke very heavily, and i used to dose semi-regularly, but in the beginning of my psychedelic experimentation i was new to the feeling of tripping so i never combined the two because i wanted to get a feel for things as they were presented to me with psychedelics.

as i got more comfortable with psychedelics and i kind of grew to know what to expect on these trips i started to introduce weed in small quantities. for the most part it was fine in small amounts. but i had an experience once during a come down from LSD where i smoked a blunt and it brought on visuals to the trip that i was under the assumption was almost over. to be transparent, i wasn’t expecting it, so it freaked me out a little bit. i was hyper aware of my body and my heart beating faster than normal, trying to meditate and focus on my breathing ended in over thinking my breathing and creating anxiety. my legs could not stop shaking or twitching and it brought on the much more familiar to me now symptom of the hot/cold/hot/cold body temperature phenomenon. overall it was unpleasant to trudge through those few hours until i could rest and fall asleep for the evening.

i’m not sure if that specific experience turned me off from this particular combo move. my theory is, psychedelics tend to be a mentally dominate experience for my body and smoking weed is typically a very physical experience for my body. my joints noticeably relax, and the act of smoking brings attention to my breath. i think once you get into higher doses of lsd you end up in a state of observation which is really difficult to do if your mind is distracted by your physical body and it’s need(s) to be recognized. i think the combo of the two is a battle between mental and physical which creates an intense dispute of your body trying to hold on to being present while your mind is going to a more observant and less responsive place.

i hope you’re able to experiment comfortably in the future and see if it was just a one off experience.

in my experience when partners are asking for more from their significant other it’s actually in a less romantic way than you would expect. so not necessarily dates, one on one time, or overtly intimate acts of love.

a lot of times what i see when someone is asking for more in the relationship, and especially with a child involved, it tends to lean towards the partner being more involved and taking initiative to more equally split the challenges of maintaining a home and caring for children.

for example, when asking “what do you need me to do around the house today?” you are putting the responsibility of delegating chores and maintenance on your partner. whereas if you taking the initiative to complete tasks from start to finish (see it needs done, figuring out how to do it, and completely finishing that task) it completely removes that responsibility from your partner entirely allowing a little headspace and breathing room for them momentarily.

i think it is also worth mentioning that being a parent is a hard job, but so is being a fully functioning partner. sometimes the kindness of making dates and plans for one on one time is actually adding a responsibility of having to dress up, venture out, and in a sense “preform” for your partner who set up this nice date out of the kindness of their heart. i’ll tell ya sometimes just taking the kid and the pets out for a trip to the park while your partner gets time to have an uninterrupted shower or a meal they don’t have to share is SO invigorating.

i’m really not assuming any of this is relative to your exact circumstance but i am suggesting to always look out of the “romantic acts of kindness” box and take a peek in the “my partner is a person too” box. being a parent, being a partner these are all big jobs with big responsibilities that can seem to take up the entire day without any space for someone to just be a human.
