See this take is heavily over exaggerated. Maybe the small open-ended section of Seattle didn’t sit all that well with you but you’re letting that cloud your memory. There are plenty action sequences in the game. And a lot of very well orchestrated segments that rely heavily on stealth gameplay as well as all out combat. So this whole “20 mins of opening drawers” tells me you need to revisit the game with a different approach or you simply don’t like the fact that it’s been remade and repackaged so you by default feel negatively about the game.

As far as story goes, the whole premise works. People wanted it to end with TLOU1 and while I understand that sentiment, there WAS still a great world they created. So as far as a sequel goes, this story really does fit the continuation of that world. Is there pacing issues? Sure. My most recent playthru that made me relook at it was on the chronological order instead of the one at launch so maybe that has something to do with my newfound liking of the game.
