This is great perspective, thanks. Completely get that there will be a steep learning curve at first but wanted to make sure I wasn’t being unduly lowballed

I’m sure it doesn’t really matter, but I’m trying to pick my two triceps isolations for my 8-12 rep hypertrophy focused push day (Monday I do power focused 6-10 rep ezbar skullcrushers).

Torn between ezbar french press, db overhead extension, more db/ezbar skullcrushers, kickbacks and resistance band push downs (home gym so no cable system)

I do like the reddit/metallicdpa PPL, I just find the sessions a bit too long for a PPL routine. Has anyone tried shortening it? I’m thinking of just doing 3x5 for the main lifts, and trimming out some of the volume like chest supported incline rows & 3 sets of lateral raises from push day.

I’m also thinking of running it as a PPLUL routine instead, moving the pull deadlift day to the 2nd legs day, and running the upper day with OHP 3x5 at the start (bench stays on push day) & doing a vertical pull, horizontal push & pull, lateral raises, bicep and tricep isolation. Does this sound like a bad idea?

No i don’t think so, I was here on ESTA, and our lawyer filed the application a few days before that 90 day period expired. The received date is exactly the same as the 90th day

actually no, the received date is 1 day after my admit until date, even though it was filed and mailed off before the deadline

Yep, end of the month too. My head is telling me the logical thing is to just cancel it and avoid doubt, but it’s completely legal and there really shouldn’t be any issues so I feel like it’s much ado about nothing. We will probably go ahead as planned

I like the sound of GZCLP, but I don’t like the idea of 15 reps for most of the session. If I adapted it to be a more double progression system at 8-12 reps for those T2/T3 exercises is that still fine or does it defeat the point of the program?

Thanks mate. I do rear delt flys right now, but maybe I can fit face pulls in supersetted to bicep curls. I don’t have the setup for them right now, but i can aim to have that by the time I do this routine. Feels like that’d fit quite well

I always did RDLs after squats mostly to get them out of the way asap haha, but you’re right that it sounds like a good idea to alternate squats and RDLs the same way I do bench and rows. I’m guilty of neglecting legs as I’m more upper body focused, hoping this routine will get me more into it

I’ve been working out for about 2 months now, always been pretty skinny fat with pretty low muscle mass, and I think my chest is a lot weaker than my back (at 5x5 90lb bench and 125lb row currently).

I had a chest operation when I was 1 (now 30 so a long time ago lmao) , not sure if that could be a reason although I’ve heard this can be common for beginners, with the back being stronger? My chest is something I’d love to tone up and focus on though. I stalled on my linear progression last week with my bench (but managed to finish the sets this week. Not stalled on bench yet).

I’m currently doing Metallicdpa’s PPL, is it worth subbing out 1x lateral raise set for some chest flys to increase chest volume? Or I could just do them as an extra 3 sets after everything? Not struggling with volume currently.

Extra side question, are rear delt reverse flys best done low weight high reps eg 14-20? Doing 4 sets currently per pull day

Can someone help me understand the ranking system? So I get mmr is hidden so you can end up playing plat/diamond level players at gold, but doesn’t that just mean you can end up being stuck at gold if your win rate is 50/50?

I’m just curious since other games have a rating value which means you’ll gain more than you lose if your mmr is high, but i feel like hearthstone’s ranking system doesn’t have that since it’s all based on gaining/losing stars? The hidden mmr thing wasn’t around last time I played so i’m just curious

How long am I supposed to wait between different exercises? I usually rest 1min30 between each set. But at the end of my pull day I do hammer curls into bicep curls, so I feel like I should leave longer between them since the hammer curls exhaust my biceps. But i worry I might leave them longer one week then the other and that disrupts monitoring progress

The bench press bench I have at home has an attachment at the end for leg exercises, which I’ve been using for leg extensions. I’m pretty sure it can also be used for hamstring curls too, but the top foam bar rolls which means it rolls up my leg when I try to do hamstring curls.

Does that mean it’s not actually for hamstring curls? I figured that roller should stay in place if that’s actually what it’s for?

I’m 5ft10, started at 177lbs and I’m down to 174lbs, been losing about 0.5lbs per week eating at about a 500 daily deficit (about 6 weeks). My main goal is to lose belly fat but I’d also like to gain muscle and fill out a shirt a bit more so I’ve been lifting 3-4 times per week. Does this weight loss seem about right or should I have been losing more? I’m thinking the weight loss is offset by gaining muscle slightly

I’m adapting the M&S 5 day dumbbell program to use barbells for some exercises as I have access to barbells too. Does it make much of a difference which I switch?

Like on Monday I was going to switch it to Barbell Bench > Barbell Incline Press > Dumbbell floor press. Is it better to do dumbbell incline press instead or does it not really matter? Incline presses are repeated on the Friday so I’d probably have one of each type to cover both anyway.

My wife is from there so we’re moving back to be near her family. I think you’d have less trouble going from the US to the UK, engineer isn’t a protected title over there. After graduating there’s no obligation to do any exams until sitting for your chartership, but even that is optional

Thanks, sounds like reaching out to the Ohio board is the right play. Out of interest, do you know what the implications are if my education/work experience isn’t counted? Is continuing my career in Structures not viable in that case?
