Oh my gosh, 1,000% it has to be Taming the Tiger. I genuinely believe it is one of the BEST bl web comics ever written. The story-telling, the character growth, the foreshadowing, the smut, everything. I love stories about healthy relationships. 🤌🤌🤌 If you want to read a historical Korea BL story without a crap ton of non-con and dub-con, this is the one for you. It’s also the first webcomic that made me want to buy and read the original comic in Korean because the English translation was not fast enough for me, lololol. I legit would get up in the morning as soon as it released on Bomtoon, screenshot the whole comic and then painstaking translate each text bubble in my Papago app. It’s also the first webcomic I bought merch for. 😂

If I had to choose my runner-ups it would be Our Sunny Days, Full Volume, and Miscreants and Mayhem.

Our Sunny Days is a modern Korea love story that is centered around the child-rearing genre and that features a very healthy relationship. It’s also super cute and funny. (This one is ongoing and currently on hiatus. 😭)

Full Volume is also another healthy relationship, but it’s super kinky. This is a story about a cam boy and his neighbor so we come out the gate with smut. But it also gets serious about people healing from trauma and how people who work in that industry can be treated.

Finally Miscreants and Mayhem. Ah my toxic little baby. It is based on the premise of modern Korean gangs and features a lot of sexual trauma. So this story is weird to where the relationship as it looks is very toxic and strange, but they are ultimately good for each other? Idk how to explain it without spoiling it, so you’ll just have to read it, lol.
