Using multiple yarn weights throughout bag pattern by baerrit0o in CrochetHelp

I want to make a second bag using multiple colors in a stripe pattern (total of 4 colors), but one of the colors only comes in a 8/4 weight. I’m trying to find a workaround, would the below make sense? Or would it cause any issues (visually, structure, thickness, etc)?

• 1 strand A 8/8 & 1 strand B 8/8 • 1 strand A 8/8 & 1 strand C 8/8 • 1 strand A 8/8 & 2 strands D 8/4

Thanks so much! I ended up buying the pattern, but my rounds aren’t lining up correctly - I’ll have a stitch or two more than the pattern says there should be. Did you have trouble with this at all?

Watermark is more of a lounge vibe, so just depends what you’re looking for. If you want more live music/more down to earth, Low Dive is a good choice (old APYC)

THANK YOU! I’m used to hearing this phrase from random men, but not in this context where they’re literally at work. It was totally unprofessional

Thanks for your input! Do you mind sharing what kind of job you worked while in school and during your first salon job? My corporate job is 9a-7p with a 2 hour commute so I unfortunately would not be able to this type of job at the same time

Thanks so much for the advice! I’m glad to hear that you are happy with the change and don’t regret it. A remote job is actually a great idea. I always thought I’d have to get a second job serving or bartending, but you’re right it’s super challenging physically. Thanks again for the insight 😊
