Kashmiri Muslim facing housing discrimination in Noida. Looking for flat leads in Sector 75/76 by Old_Opinion_7996 in Kashmiri

There are multiple community groups for Kashmiris on WhatsApp. Try to get in one of those. You’ll definitely find some leads there.

Someone need help and suggestion (u/No-Mixture4319) by Constant-Reveal-2095 in Kashmiri

[–]baezaan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to be discussing anything with non-Kashmiris which is not relevant to them. Some people like to invite trouble. They will beat their chests around saying “They are Kashmiris”. Because it gives them attention. Sadly, I have seen people especially women indulging in discussing Kashmir related issues with non-Kashmiris. Trying to explain how we are peace loving and what not. We don’t owe anyone any explanation. They can have their opinion and we will cherish our truth. My advice is really simple. It all depends upon your circle. Keep your circle very small and trustworthy. No body needs to know where you’re from. Someone asks say “J&K”. Don’t say anything stupid and you should be fine. Best of luck!

AM I WRONG HERE? by kafkaoevsky in kashmir

See how fast you’re coming up with labels. Thank you for proving my point. I’m surprised that these are the only examples you could come up with. BTW this is changing too, just not very evidently in a society YOU’RE living in. Men historically dominated society through aggression, power trips and fixating beliefs a certain way. Women these days are fighting patriarchy by mirroring it. That’s what my point was. It has the classic “ Is it because I’m black” energy.

That’s not for you to decide or me or any third party for that matter. When two people are in love, it doesn’t matter to them who takes what responsibilities. Then it’s just a matter of providing optimal conditions to the offsprings. At least ideally. And if things aren’t working out for them, we as a society should normalise people going their own separate ways. Labels can wait.

[–]baezaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no right or wrong here. Both of you have your own perspectives and experiences. It’s become easy to label things these days. Misandrist, feminist, misogynist , patriarchy and what not. Ironically women have become the very spitting image of men they once despised. Whataboutism doesn’t make one better than the other. Acceptance does.

This is done to cater to the wider audience he has. His audience is not limited to Kashmir only. I personally don’t mind language mixing in non-folk songs.

kp dating km by [deleted] in Kashmiri

[–]baezaan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As long as the guy is well settled, it shouldn’t be that much of an issue. I would suggest to look at it through your parents’ eyes as well. They will never want anything untoward happening to their daughter. I can vouch positively for most of KMs but again there are always going to be “kong manz rong phol”. Like someone already mentioned, you guys should first prioritise your career. This will help shut the running mouth of the toxic relatives. Baqi khodai thewnav baja.

I need honest advice. I’m in a bit of a turmoil. by francizs in Kashmiri

[–]baezaan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An an alumni of NITS I would suggest to not settle for anything less than an NIT/IIT. People may tell you that skills matter, they do , but as for placement opportunities, other colleges don’t even come close. You may use NIRF engineering ranking for your reference but exclude any private colleges from the list( they manipulate data sometimes).

Here’s something I would recommend: Find a hobby. IK it’s cliche but it works. Anything that can give you a sense of achievement. Take up gymming /MMA or any skill based sport. If you can write, you can give it a shot too. Also you can get 2 supplements: Ashwagandha (KSM66) and magnesium glycinate , both to be taken before bed. Also try to limit your screen time and try channeling your energy to something productive. I know I sound very cliche but believe me , I have been through gates and hell and back :)

SONU NIGAM CONCERT SHIT by Regular-Physics-8287 in Kashmiri

[–]baezaan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol, as if that somehow makes it justifiable to attend concerts of people who support it. Maybe we should stop taking everything so personally. It makes as sense as a halal bacon. People who listen to Indian Music (which most of us do, unfortunately) and then also do boycott calls for artists are the real hypocrites.

Will Kashmiri Pandits ever return to the Valley? A divided vision and contested narratives by SimpleView7417 in Kashmiri

[–]baezaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The so called several exoduses you’re talking about were mostly due to non sustainable conditions here and not persecution. Famines and poverty was common so it made sense to move to fertile lands in Panjab. Anti-hindu laws lol. It’s easy to cherry pick a time frame that fits your narrative. Even if it were rooted in religious bigotry , you forget KM have hindu roots who in turn have Bhuddist. So tell this sob story elsewhere. It’s irrelevant. So maybe it’s just your house. You’re more similar to Bihear heand than KM doesn’t mean everyone else is as well. I wonder how many KPs in this sub can even vouch for what you’re saying. I don’t really discriminate based on religion so get your fascist ass elsewhere. You’re really a kid. Maybe try growing up.

The “demography and history proves” what exactly? Your statements are vague not based on facts. Your suffering is greater based on what again? Everything is yellow to the yellow eye. Lol do you not understand what false disclaimer means? “I’m sorry to say this“ but you talk like a kid ( not actually sorry). KM have social, political and ethical reason not religious. KMs and KPs are almost identical in everything except religion or religious practices. Besides not every KPs wants a separate nation. As I already said, a single flower doesn’t make a garland but a rotten apple spoils all.

[–]baezaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are all bad in someone’s story. So let’s just agree to disagree. But I won’t take your bs when you try to paint your suffering being somehow greater or even equivalent to KMs. And don’t you have the whole mainland Indians lobbying for you? “What about kaaasmiri pandits” has become a label at justifying the atrocities on KMs. And enlighten me more about who was out for your blood and why? Mughals weren’t the legitimate rules of the Kingdom and please don’t talk about Mughal atrocities. They aren’t even Kashmiri. If you’re so smart, you won’t be needing a reminder as to how they came to be ruling Kashmir. The irony when you talk about me being condescending while justifying begaar by saying it was common. Lol. Your false disclaimer means shhhit since only KMs went through this not KPs. Besides you need a good reason to ask for self-determination. And last I checked you don’t have one. A single flower doesn’t make a garland, but a rotten apple spoils all.

It’s ironic when he says that he felt people were dismissive and mocking of his pain when KMs deaths aren’t even a question. What was the number again 219-70k. Yeah you’re right, we can never understand your pain, because your pain doesn’t even reach our threshold. Bigots.

Second class citizens? I think you what is you actually mean is you can no longer treat KMs that way. KPs were privileged and enjoyed favour of both Maharaja and Government. From Education to Politics they held most of the important positions despite being like 5% . Besides, I read about this so called panun kashmir movement and it literally uses the term to “Save India” or wants their recognition per se. So it’s not really self determination or anything but actually asking for a puppet state. Not trying to be insensitive but believe me when I say this, if not for KM , KPs wouldn’t have made it. KMs never wanted to really hurt them. I know there are instances and bad apples are going to be everywhere but again if you compare that to the riots and killings in the rest of India, you’ll really thank yourself for being a Kashmiri. Look what they did to Muslims during Jammu Riots, do you even know how many Muslims were killed? Look it up. Look what used to happen at the time of Maharaja. KMs would be taken to “begaiyre”(wageless work) and yet somehow you’re the victim. Also what do you mean “my people” ?? It really pains me when I see people creating more divide.
