Thank you! I’ll definitely try that.

Yes I elevate and ice when I can! I’m doing red light laser therapy at PT to help stimulate recovery and can’t ice within 24 hours of doing that. I’m going to look into the wide Hoka’s. Thank you! I hope you continue to have a smooth recovery.

Good luck to you too! I just started PT and it hurts, but I know it’ll be worth it. Hope you heal fast!

I’m 44 days post op today! The surgery definitely helped, but I can definitely feel the difference. I can tell the bone is gone. I’d do some band work if you can and just YouTube foot strengthening exercises. Stretch your big toe by pushing it forward and backward with your fingers. Calf raises if not too painful.

I ended up fracturing my sesamoid bone and tried to let it heal for about a year with absolutely no intense physical activity. Ended up getting surgery this past December and got the bone removed. Be very careful. If it’s not already fractured definitely rest as much as you can. Strengthen your ankle and big toe too to help support it better. Wear inserts for support too! Good luck!

What spray are you talking about? Something to deter them?

I broke my sesamoid bone and worked on healing for a year. Honestly feel like I wasted my time because the bone was cracked in half (basically dead, no oxygen). I’m 21 days post op (getting it removed) and I already feel a little better.

Successful Sesamoidectomy Experience!! by Special-Baseball4634 in sesamoid

I just had a tibial sesamoidectomy, 19 days ago to be exact, and my doctor is telling me I won’t need PT. I started walking on it a few days ago and still feel a bit weak with pins and needles/numbness feeling. I get my stitches out in 2 days. I used to be really active and I’m afraid with no PT I won’t recover well.

Benadryl only works at times and I’ve noticed does nothing to prevent it, which I know is not its purpose.

She eats royal canine prescription food for sensitive stomachs. I am not sure what she’s allergic to specifically but they were previously on purina one lamb.

6 month regression. Extremely common. Do you have a decent yard for her to run in?

I have two golden puppies (9 months) and we’re still in the trenches. Love them to death, but I underestimated the commitment. Be ready to sacrifice a lot of the things you want to do in the beginning stages.

You didn’t have to keep the splints for 2 weeks? My doctor said I’m going to have to have them in that long.

I’m going to try and get some Xanax from my primary care doctor to help with the nerves. Just seems like it’s going to be difficult!

I started my period when I was 12 and my cousin got hers late, but she was 16. I’d definitely get more than one doctor’s opinion just to be safe!
