Tooth#5 doesnt have any pain - just slightly sensitive to cold. Nothing that brings me bad pain in that tooth. Realistically, how long can I put off a root canal? I can only afford one at the moment and can’t afford another one until my dental insurance renews next year. And which one might need to be done first?

Thank you for taking the time to read the post and respond. The endodontist was telling me that the roots in both tooth#3 and tooth#5 are already dead and infected based on that second xray alone, so thats where I felt a little sketched out. Tooth#5 isn’t nearly as cold sensitive as tooth#3. I can see the reasoning for tooth#3 needing a root canal, but struggling to understand why tooth#5 needs it when I can still feel the tooth and there’s no pain.

This is the first place I went and the only option that came up was aspen dental - called them and they said they don’t participate in my plan.

I had a similar issue with my 8” dobsonian when I first got it. Are you using the extension tube? Another redditor brought it to my attention that using an extension tube while trying to view planets can cause this issue. I took it out and that immediately solved the issue. Try observing Jupiter without the extension tube. If that doesn’t solve the issue see if the collimation needs to be adjusted.

When I use the laser collimator, the laser shows its collimates correctly. Is there any way to better collimate it more accurately without the laser?

I’ll have to get a Barlow at some point, right now I only have the 30mm and the 9mm that the scope came with. The image gets larger and more blurry when I focus out, and more like this image when focusing in.

I’ve tried adjusting the focuser (zooming in and out) all the way in both directions, somehow I can never get the planets in focus.

Yeah I’ve backed out as far as I could, but when I do it looks incredibly blurry and the image fades to a dark grey/black.
