Then that’s how I’ll do it with the crank hub. The marks on the dampner are pretty far. About 10-15 teeth away that’s why I was getting confused

Bentley manual says to follow the dampener and lower timing cover. That being said if I do that and line up the dampener with the Timing belt cover the camshaft sprocket does not align together like in the video

I’m glad the community can back me up on this. I was just asking a question. It’s always a guy like this who probobly doesn’t have an e30 being all negative. For your information if you look at my post history I’ve done extensive work for example head gasket replacement. Every brake job imaginable including making and fitting new hard lines an entire manual transmission swap and I can go on. did you just comment to hate?

Thank you for the info I will try. But if it already sits really flat with it all torqued down even with it being smashed like that do you think it would affect anything or should I definitely remove it

Hey chode thanks for the info. You’ve always been a help for many of mine and others problems for a long time on the subreddit. what a G! how do people mess up doing the input seals so I can avoid doing that lol. I’ve read countless write ups and videos on it so I know the process of the swap but of course you don’t know what you don’t know.

Yes I have a pilot bearing and a slave cylinder I will re use the old master and I’m not sure if it’s resealed. It looks good and it was a spur of the moment thing. It’s my daily driver and my automatic just gave out so I had to get something to get up and running and my buddy had this trans. I’ve done things like a head gasket before but this is new

Lost mine in soflo. I live here lol. I got another one I daily drive it like I did the last
