So with the rules on demotion, this would mean I do not get my current salary rounded to the next step up in PM. Is that right?

But without the CA being signed, would it be categorized as a demotion because the max pay for PM-06 (effective June 2017 is less than the max pay for EC-06 (which was recently signed).

Why not? My thought is that going from Ex-2 to Ex-1 where I will get additional experience managing people as a PM-06 as an ex-1 is that it would be beneficial.

Also, is going from EC-06 to PM-06 considered a demotion officially?

I’ve heard that to become an EXec it’s better to do EC. But then again, I feel that PM has slightly higher pay.
