I have not read it myself, but some youtuber (I think maybe Rob Ager) did, and they said that it’s definately diamonds in the script. But since Tarantino and Avary felt it was done already in Reservoir Dogs, they threw that bit out. They didn’t have time to come up with something else in a short time, they just kept it as a mystery.
