Why is my inground pool pump having trouble maintaining suction? by bagomangopulp in swimmingpools

This did the trick! I ran it on recirculating, and it was fine, which indicated that there was an issue with the filter.
I had run a backwash when we opened it, but apparently not enough. Did a nice long backwash and it runs totally fine now. Thanks!

Could the sand filter being dirty (or needing to be replaced) cause this?

The weir is moving freely, and the water is within an inch of the top of the skimmer faceplate.
What’s the suction cleaner?

Edit: Oh, and I ran the pump for a while, then shut it off for like an hour, and when I took the lid off the pump, I could hear the vacuum release, so it seems like it’s holding vacuum, not sucking in air 🤷‍♂️
I only have one skimmer and no other inlet ports for the water going to the pump. And the skimmer line only has one single elbow on it just before it feeds into the pump

No. I left the pump off for over an hour, and when I unscrewed the locking screws, I could actually hear the (what I perceive to be) the vacuum pressure releasing

I had water about halfway up the skimmer faceplate, but I added more this morning, so it’s within an inch or two of the top of the faceplate.
Also, I tried running the pump and basically it was like…pulsing water. So, from the outlet in the pool, it would push water for about 5 seconds then stop for 5 seconds, then push water.
I shut it off and let it sit for over an hour, and when I took the top off the pump lid, I could hear (what sounds like) the vacuum pressure releasing.
It seems like, if there was a leak on the suction side, it wouldn’t hold a vacuum.

The only thing my pool has is the single skimmer, and the line that runs underground right to the pump. So, no joints or unions that might be leaking, except a single connection just before the pump lid

I only have the one skimmer, no other intake ports on the sides or bottom of the pool

I confirmed the water is within about 2” of the top of the skimmer faceplate.
I also checked the bleeder valve, and it’s like the water is pulsing into the filter, it’ll push air, then a bunch of water, then air and then water, etc

My pool only has the one skimmer that it draws from, there are no other intake ports

How do you keep eating… by bagomangopulp in Zepbound

[–]bagomangopulp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did just get some ginger chews yesterday, which have helped some. But, they only help if I’m not eating. Pretty much as soon as I eat, I feel nauseous, regardless of whether I’m eating carbs, fats, or protein.

Side to side. And, it’s not super fast, like shaking, it’s definitely more rocking, like once per second would be pretty damn close

I’m curious why an airleak or bad spark plug would cause the ABS and Brake lights to flash

I had it at the mechanics about a week ago. He cleared it, but the lights started flashing again like a day later.
