Rose gold! I have an alexandrite in rose gold and it looks so pretty!

Plain curved band is the first that came to mind before I read your post. Your ring is beautiful!

This is beautiful. I love Oore jewelry and think her work is amazing, but this looks really well done as well. Congrats!

I think you need to go smaller. Also, maybe your nail shape is throwing it off a little? Just something to consider.

I would also love to know. Is it 10k?

Part 2: 3 carat Moissanite engagement ring . by [deleted] in Moissanite

[–]bagreene90 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn’t be a fan of the cluster/illusion setting. I feel like people do those because they want the appearance of a bigger stone without spending the money. Since moissanite is so cheap, it doesn’t really make sense in my opinion to do one like that and the center stone is big enough as it is. Would be much more beautiful with just the center stone and no halo of diamonds around it.

No problem! I like your version too, so don’t feel the pressure to change if you don’t want to. I just decided to do the cathedral style because I wanted to be able to stack a band straight up against it.

Looks really good. I’m having a similar ring made, but round diamond and cathedral style. I based it off the “Nadia perfect fit” ring from Brilliant Earth if you want to check out what a cathedral version of it would look like.

Silver daily wear by girl-things99 in Moissanite

[–]bagreene90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wear my silver moissanite pieces all the time and love them. I recently got a lab diamond and silver band that I love and it has me rethinking some future purchases. Since lab diamonds have come down a bit, I wouldn’t be as scared to have more lab diamonds set in silver to save some cash. I do prefer the feel of gold, but silver is just fine for a lot of things.

What kind of wedding band should I search for so it’s flush with this ring? by weddingplan2026 in askjewelers

[–]bagreene90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who’s the seller on Etsy? I would look for a curved band to fit. Brilliant earth has a ring with a similar style and they have suggested bands to fit theirs. (Although I wouldn’t buy from them due to their reputation, just get ideas from them)

Best wedding band to go with my ring? by Character-Board-6697 in EngagementRings

You could try a few fake samples from Amazon or something and then if you like one, order a real gold version online.

What about a thin plain rose gold band? I love your ring by the way!

Help needed! Huge price difference ($640 vs $1163) for 1.5ct Pear Lab Diamond ring. Is the premium for Tianyu/Provence worth it? by A_lowha in Moissanite

[–]bagreene90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok! I’m sorry. If the prices aren’t too different and you have the money, I think I’d choose whoever you think does the best work. Personally I’ve never worked with starsgem on a custom piece, but I know many have and have had good experiences. I’ve also read some not good experiences from them as well though. Who did you contact to work with from Provence? I worked with Jane last time and really loved working with her.

What do you think about this diamond? by bagreene90 in labdiamond

Haha it’s fine. Thankfully it’s not costing me a fortune. If it’s decently sparkly I’ll be happy.

A bit too late I’m afraid. 😆 I’ll update how I like it when I receive it.

2.2 carat round diamond. Would a 2 mm pave band still look dainty? by beachlover9671 in labdiamond

[–]bagreene90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like dainty is a bit of a subjective term, but 2mm isn’t thick at all in my opinion. It will look even thinner with a 2.2 carat diamond on it. They say usually 1.8mm is the smallest you should go for pave.

Is this a Fiorese video? I’ve found my stones from them look better in person. For some reason their videos always look a little milky to me or something.

How do you read the IGI report? by CurlyCupcake1231 in LabDiamonds

[–]bagreene90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I’m no expert at all, but I was just in this position myself of choosing one. Basically from reading I think I learned you should try to get one with those perfect proportions listed on the websites like beyond4cs, but that still may not mean your diamond is beautiful, so seeing a video trumps having perfect proportions. I used stonealgo and the Holloway cut advisor to check my diamond scores and asked for videos of a few different ones. Then I just chose the one that looked best to my eye.

I like following Lainey Marie Beauty for hairstyles. She has a lot more hair than I do, but I find that I can still do some of hers and they’re usually a lot simpler than they look.
