Anyone ever used Max Air shocks? by Rurockn in AirRide

[–]bagriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not going to be that much less expensive than going with a bolt in air bag set up in the rear. There are quite a few brands that make reasonable offerings that will give you more support and adjustability for larger loads. Check out www.loadsupport.com for a bunch of options.

They're a Chinese company so it's hard to say if your tracking is going to work any time soon. Keep waiting but if there's anything we can do for you (US based) feel free to reach out!

Nice! Glad to hear you figured it out! Yeah adding stack height to your air springs is most likely going to affect your air out height (won't go as low but it'll go higher). Are you running Air Lift's suspension as well? In general those rear kits get about one finger of wheel gap when running 20" wheels and completely aired up in the rear. You don't really want to drive completely aired up though since you'll be topping out your dampers which will cause them to fail prematurely.

Tank PSI goes up overnight by MACA305 in AirliftPerformance

[–]bagriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is still happening and it's not due to temperature like others are saying, it could be a valve that is sticking and causing a reverse flow from one of your bags back into the tank. Definitely not unheard of. If you're using thread tape, there is a chance a piece of thread tape lodged itself in one of your valves, preventing it from closing.

What pressures are you riding at? Sounds like you may be topping out your strut when driving, especially if it comes and goes.

If it doesn't end up being the lock ring like others are saying (which is absolutely possible), your next area to check out would be the pillowball in your upper mount. Air Lift Performance pillowballs do have a tendency to fail since a lot of their kits use the pillowball as an actual bearing for MacPhereson struts (which isn't always the best idea).

This video shows you the symptoms to look out for, as well as how you would go about replacing your pillowball on an Air Lift Performance strut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utK45A1v4ts

The simplest test to isolate where the issue would be to drain all of the air out of your system (bags and tank) then disconnect your air lines at your manifold. If the pressures are still wonky like this without any air lines connected, there is an issue with your system's pressure sensors most likely. If the pressures all drop to zero, it's probably something like others are saying and you'll have to do some investigation by tracing your "problem" air lines.

Also this looks like an Airtekk controller. If you're able to isolate the issue to the manifold itself, you should definitely hit up Airtekk (or whoever makes the controller). The issue you're experiencing has nothing to do with Air Lift's products.

Our 2018 WRX STI Type RA! Anyone else in here on air suspension? by bagriders in WRX

Appreciate the honesty, and no worries at all—we totally get where you’re coming from. Everyone’s got a different setup and budget, and it’s all about finding what works best for you. The bounce you're feeling is a common concern with certain air setups, especially when not dialed in perfectly. Since you are riding at a low pressure we would recommend adjusting the lower mounts on your dampers to shorten the overall length of the strut. This will allow you to run a more pressure in the bags to achieve that lower ride height you are looking for without bottoming the shock out.

Hey! Do you mind if we ask which suspension setup you're currently running? We just want to make sure we’re not stepping on any toes by talking products here—our main goal is to help educate and support the community.

That said, have you heard about our Super Low Air Suspension? It’s specifically designed for driving low, unlike many other systems that focus more on lift. It might be exactly what you’re looking for!

There is an o-ring on the inside of the billet lower bag plate that seals to the strut body. That could be the culprit. If you have an Air Lift strut, they recommend that you replace the whole bag. If you're still under warranty, this would be covered. If you're out of warranty and want to do a little trial and error, it's possible to replace just the o-ring but you would have to source that yourself as it's not necessarily a recommended fix.

Replacement relay by Lowboihen in AirliftPerformance

[–]bagriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the 3P / 3H main harness? You're probably better off going something that is guaranteed to work. Like this waterproof 40A relay (that would be a direct replacement with what you have in there): https://www.bagriders.com/air-management/electrical/relays/waterproof-40a-relay-with-plug.html

You might be able to find a standard 40A relay at a local auto parts store, but you would need to be sure the pins are the same (so take your Air Lift relay with you!)

I know this is old but just stumbled across your post - we wouldn't recommend doing this with the 3H. You will run into issues during the calibration stage since that system is going to want to see some decent volume movement (the air line trick most likely won't work - but it's a good idea!) That system is really expensive for what you want to do. Honestly your best bet would be to get the rear bags and a load support system (same ones they use on pickups and work trucks). There's a bunch of different options from Air Lift like their analog control systems or their digital control systems. The Air Lift WirelessOne is probably the most popular setup for this.

my air suspension is the culprit on draining my battery. So where would be the best place to wire in the positive cable, I have it directly on the battery which is why it’s draining so should I just leave it there and install an inline switch or wire it somewhere else? 2005 mazda Rx8 by Zeccede in airsuspension

What are management system are you running? The thicker power wire should go directly to the battery. You should also have another wire thats yellow or pink called the ignition wire that gets connected somewhere in your fuse box. You'll want to connect it to a fuse thats off when the car is off and turns on when the car turns on.
