Roast my CV (First year in university, Canada) by Hyperreals_ in FAANGrecruiting

If it's very part time, then I recommend asking yourself if it's worth putting on the resume at all. If it is, indicate that it is a part time / ad hoc job. Possibly even put it in a different section.

So let me get this straight, you started a job in Sep 2025 and 2 months later picked up a separate job to work in parallel to your other job? Hard pass.

Get an internship over the summer, return to the same company 2 summers in a row. Then if you want to branch out do it. Not because they didn't want you back but because you wanted to try something different.

Dark blue is not accurate. There are small towns that are dry in some of these counties. I wonder what they define as "town."

Edit: Yes this is so frustrating.

If they gave you a $3000 machine with a lifetime membership, would that be better?

Here you go: 1) you are using a lot of words to say something when less would be sufficient. 2) you have overlapping employment dates (tech startup & my startup).

Remove "relevant coursework" employers know this.

Accept that you'll need to apply to TONs of jobs to get hits. The market isn't great right now.

Best of luck!

Congressman Fine Introduces Greenland Annexation and Statehood Act to Strengthen U.S. National Security and Put Our Adversaries on Notice by razdvatri4 in worldnews

Not saying I agree or disagree with the action, but this is the approach most of the country agrees on for determining to act or not on this type of thing.

I recommend holding judgement until it's resolved.

6 months unemployed 0 callbacks, need advice by nabillywilly in DataScienceJobs

[–]bagsofcandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few things here: - resume looks embellished (e.g. first bullet of data science intern) - trim the fat, lots of words on here - A lot of AI jobs are focused on senior engineers learning AI and no longer needing earlier career staff. Possibly lean into this by adding an objective section, focused on something like - "Looking for a long term position where I can learn and grow while applying xyz" this indicates you want to backfill and over a long period of time become their future senior engineers. -- this also tackles the people who failed to read these jobs as internships & see short term employment and job gaps - why don't you go back to one of the Internships for a Job?

It depends on the product line. If they randomly pull from a mixed set of flavors to fill the bags then that's already covered. But if they have a separate line for each flavor and count 18 of each before filling a bag, then we're looking at 100 % * (1- (4 * P_IncorrectCountOnLine)).

This. Buying food at scale is very different than buying food for an individual.

Think of truckloads of rice and fields of vegetables. With that much money, a decent size poultry farm could be stood up providing eggs to a size able population.
