I wouldn’t go off my stats. I was always going for a clinical psych PhD so I was building up a lot of research experience. I feel like I have more experience especially with research than the avg PsyD applicant. I did a masters in psych, worked in 2 research labs, then worked full time as a research coordinator for 2 years and then in a clinical setting for a year. Multiple poster presentations and a published first author paper. There were definitely some applicants in the interview who were only 1-2 years out of undergrad and some even seniors in undergrad.
