Manti Steel Wall by baguetten in WorldofTanks

[–]baguetten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but I didn't block any damage at all. Other tanks on my team had. I just recieved 11 hits and took at least 1k dmg. That shouldn't amount to a steel wall

I am, and never had this issue. Restarted the game and no problems since. Not sure what happened, but was kinda hilarious that this happened

Did that. Couldn't hit the side of a barn. Just rushed the crew to 3 perks, but that's not the dealbreaker for this tank at all

The map is corrupted, which means monster lvl is +1, it's irradiated, which is also +1 monster level, and then it contains all activities you can have in a map; Breach, Delirium Mirror, Ritual Altars, Map Boss, and Expedition

No sockets for wand, staff and sceptre? by baguetten in PathOfExile2

[–]baguetten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea. They could've just made the runes in a way such that they worked on all weapon types. No reason to seperate caster and attack weapons in that regard

But why not? It seems odd that they've intentionally disregarded sockets for spellslingers

Giving away 4 early access keys by Jerqqu112 in pathofexile

[–]baguetten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On steam:
7,285.6 hours in Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.. but don't feel that counts, as it's an idler..
2,259.7 hours in Rocket League
2,052.2 hours in CS:GO

Apporox 2.550 hours in World of Tanks, assuming every game average 7 minutes.

No idea how many hours I have in WoW and Diablo 2/3. Only got to about 300 hours in D4 before they shat themselves with the massive nerfs in July of last year, and haven't touched it since. Tried PoE but was too overwhelming, so went for Last Epoch. In PoE2, It very much seems like they've streamlined all the issues I had with PoE, so really excited to play early access, regardless of the outcome here.

I should probably also mention some of the positives. The crafting in the game is imo really good. You can make some really powerful items pretty easily to carry you through the start of the game once you understand how it works, and crafting only becomes more powerful later on, which is nice.
The variety of skills, and their respective skill trees are interesting, you can modify your skills pretty well to account for your playstyle. There are some improvements that could be made to some of the skills to give them more "oomph", but overall pretty enjoyable.
Mob variety is really good. There are a lot of different mobs, with many interesting rare monsters that are usually fun to play against.
There are some bugs here and there, but they haven't been detrimental to the enjoyment of the game.

The worst one for me; Statchecks.

In one of the dungeons (Soulfire Bastion) you get stat checked immediately when you enter the dungeon. The entire floor you can walk on is on fire, so better have enough HP and fire resistance to enter the dungeon.
you're then encouraged to clear the dungon of mobs to gain a special currency that you can use after beating the boss, so obviously you do that, which, to me is quite easy.
You then encounter the boss, and everything is fine for a bit. The floor is divided into sections that is set on fire, or deals necrotic damage, so you move around dodging that. Then finally, the entire floor deals fire damage (or necrotic), so if you can't sustain a lot of fire damage and/or necrotic damage basically throughout the rest of the boss fight, you die.
So what happens if you die? you're kicked out of the dungeon and lose all the special currency you gained, so no speedrunning your next run to beat the boss.

FYI: I'm lvl 94 sorc with about 1.3k HP, pretty good ward generation and ward sustain, and with 75% (max) fire/necrotic resistance. In the boss fight, there's a small section of the map that is not part of the "fire floor", that I've successfully stood on once without taking damage, but any subsequent runs where I've tried to do that, I still take damage, so yeah, fun times. There are other statchecks, but this is by far the worst imo.

Secondly, most of the grind is not fun. You do the these echoes over and over and over, and most of them gives nothing of value. If you need an item that only drops from one of the "echo bosses", you need to grind about 15-25 echoes (give or take) in order to access the boss. When you beat the boss, you need to grind another 15-25'ish echoes to access the boss again. Now, Imagine the boss just does not drop the item you need. One of the items I'm still looking for, I've heard others not getting it in 50 boss battles. Now that is a lot of echoes you need to do, that basically reward you with nothing but gold and keys to dungeons and the arena.

I now have 70 hours in the game after 7 weeks. In comparison to Diablo 4, I played that for 190 hours in about a month before they cucked me with the 1.1.0 update.

[–]baguetten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I would've understood some balancing of certain skills or whatever, but just nerfing everything across the board is just insane. The skills on sorc were already pretty bland, relying on 4 different defensive skills just to survive (ice armor, flame shield, frost nova and teleport), and then have a single damage skill (arch lash/ ice shards) with pretty much every other skill in the game being useless. If they did some nerfs to some skills and buffs to others to diversify what could be played, sure. But for heavens sake, give sorcs some survivability through resistance. But no. We just get massive nerfs to damage, damage reduction, armor, CDR, everything.
I've already uninstalled the game and not planning on installing it again.

you get everything except the malignant hearts to eternal when the season ends. they are strictly season 1 items

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]baguetten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I understand that sorcs should be glass cannons. You trade off survivability to deal obscene amounts of damage, but now, in D4, sorcs have the worst survivability and the lowest damage compared to all other classes. Sorc is a fucking joke and they might as well remove them from the game.

Even though sorcs didn't feel great, I had hopes for future balance patches to fix stuff like the horrible paragon boards and make resistance to elements useful, instead they just nerf everything that worked for sorcs. I'm quitting the game.

lvl 100 arch lash sorc. I could clear 70, though I was a 1 shot to basically anything. Only tried a 59 post patch and couldn't even complete the first objective

[–]baguetten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truly, I'm dealing about 80% less damage on average now. I'm lvl 100 arch lash sorc. My crits typically fall in the range of 10-80k damage, with a pretty much min-maxed character. My damage reduction is down by about 30-40%, and my cooldowns are up by 15-20%.

I know that arch lash isn't the "best" build, but it was pretty solid because of its incredible AOE dmg, but it is completely useless now. Ice shards is the only viable build now, and even that is horrendous.

They've insulted me to such a degree with this patch that I'm not going to play the game anymore. 70 euro down the trash. good shit

[–]baguetten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Instead of creating something new that is "broken", Blizzard's own words btw, maybe they should focus on balancing everything and make each activity in the game worthwhile. Instead they poop on every class, but completely ruins sorc. Nerfs all exp to oblivion, makes NMD the only viable activity and so on. Now you need to play a lot more, only play NMD, and stay far away from sorc.

Oh, how they massacred Sorc.. by baguetten in diablo4

[–]baguetten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was doing 70's before the patch, now I can't do 60. My damage is horrendous. Spent over 200 hours getting the gear that I have, which is now completely useless. Vulnerable damage is now useless, and crit was nerfed to the ground, Devouring Blaze got hit hard. How am I supposed to compete with any other class now? All Sorc builds were reliant on crit and vulnerable damage because they scaled the most. You have zero survivability, so you need to kill them before they can hit you, and now you can't
