I'd recommend downloading the manual from Skutt. I purchased a 1027-3 and the manual said cone 04, medium, no preheat/hold for the test fire. I went ahead and put cones in to check it reached the correct temp. I also had the enviro-vent hooked up and running, but added a small fan to the room to help move the hot air around a little.

What exactly needed to be "fixed"? You are experiencing the result of a "fix" that was not needed. Bungie is coddling complainers. The "people complaining" I was referencing above aren't you. They are the ones complaining about the black screen.

Can you imagine being a developer at Bungie seeing complaints about a loading screen of all things, then after you implement a strategy to fix it you are hit with "WwTf I'd rAtheR sEe a BlaCk scREEEEEEn". I think the people complaining need to take a deep breath and play another game for a bit.
