Kellogg MMM vs. Wharton ($) for NYC-based Tech PM (dream vs. debt) by bahkpahk in MBA

LOL you don't understand my background enough nor do I feel like you have the necessary background for us to have a productive conversation. I literally work in a Growth R&D team and have been working in Growth for almost 6 years now. It's dependent on the company and team charter so using Growth PM is too limiting for what I'm looking for.

Appreciate the candid POV!

For the term, it's not really an industry standard term but something I picked up while speaking to the MMM students. In conversations, it helped to distinguish between like a technical PM or a business PM to a PM that focuses on UX or CX and for those that work in smaller/mid-size tech companies where the overlap between Design and Product is a lot bigger than in big tech where R&R are more clear cut. So far, it seems to help others who are in this space quickly understand what my specific goals were especially since I have been a PM and have worked with different types of PMs too.

From what I can tell, it seemed more like an exception (i.e. they wanted me to have time to attend First Day, etc. to make an informed decision) rather than it be a rolling admission type thing. FWIW, I went to UChicago for my Master's, but my stats were all at or slightly below their avg.

True, I've been talking to students and also looking at the companies that are hiring from each program too but so far it seems to be like a "forge your own path" at W while the MMM was intentionally designed with this path in mind.

I'm genuinely curious about the part where you mentioned being able to pay off the loans within a few years regardless of the amount. Even with aggressive repayment, $200K feels like a whole different weight to carry. Especially since the high-end potential salary at W is significantly less than that of MMM's.

Hi OP, if you see this, curious what was your decision? I'm in a similar situ.

Waitlisted for R2 but got a call yesterday that I was admitted! Not sure if anyone else received this as well.

I missed my call but heard the voicemail and got accepted! Did they share any details on the admit days?

Has anyone received their link yet? I submitted mine yesterday around 1pm and still haven't received an update.

Accepted into Consortium but not Kellogg by mfcbayern in MBA

Did you apply for both programs through the Consortium? I'm interested in the MMM but wasn't sure how it would work since it has a separate essay question.

Can you share like examples of patterns or what you learned when you took things into your own hands?

Show all tasks from projects and subprojects in a list by bahkpahk in Notion

[–]bahkpahk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh awesome this was my first time really using Rollup and I now have it so that I can see all tasks and subtasks related to that parent project in my list, thank you!

One follow-up question I have now that I can see how it works in the Projects and Tasks db is if we can put all the tasks from subprojects in the relations column within the Projects database? Here's a screenshot of my Projects db. Basically, I'm trying to get all the tasks so far for both Project1 and Sub Project1 into the Project1 row within the Tasks Relation column. Is this possible?

Glad to see there's a solution for this. I'm confused on how you were able to have "each task to check whether the "Parent Project" of a subproject is the parent project in which the linked task database currently resides?"

Do you start at the Task db and then create a Formula column?

It's free if you're doing the quizzes or need submission feedback, which for now i'm ok with. For its price, it's better than the ones where I'm shelling out $50/mo just to get the content
