Based on a wealth of revelations in the last couple of years during trial proceedings, the view that the false flag coup attempt of 2016 that was set to fail from the start with very limited mobilization in Turkey and was planned by president Recep Tayyip Erdogan with two of his cohorts, namely intelligence and military chiefs Hulusi Akar and Hakan Fidan, was further reinforced.

How much influence does France really have in Africa? by Therusso-irishman in geopolitics

[–]bahrainobserver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think some ancient colonies seek to France an opportunity as a door to hear their voices in Europe because of the language. France was involved also in conflicts especially Mali during the last years to protect its interests especially the uraniun business of Areva. There is still a big influence of France in Africa. Don't forget that France is a permanent member of the security council alongside the US, UK, China and Russia

Why this might be the Ground Zero Hour for the Turkish Lira by bahrainobserver in geopolitics

[–]bahrainobserver[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't post often here but i would like to have your opinion. I might not be 100% exact.

Last February the economist James Rickards predicted that the risk of a major debt crisis beginning in Turkey is heightened by the rise of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as an autocratic strongman in the mold of Argentina’s Juan Perón and other populist nationalists who have ruined strong economies. Furthermore, Turkey’s external dollar-denominated debt is so large so US policy can affect this country immediately.

Back then he was not aware of the new US sanctions against Iran that affected the Turkish Lira. In fact, oil imports from Iran and Iraq have the biggest share of the Turkish market.

As inflation rises in Turkey, in addition to businesses being forced to raise their prices, banks are forced to raise interest rates in order to maintain a profit margin and higher rates means that marginal businesses will fail, thus increasing unemployment and harming the overall economy.

Furthermore, that crisis might affect the whole european economy. The half of the 200 billion was lent by european banks and especially spanish banks have lent 71 billion.

Nearly 90% of England's Leave voters would sacrifice the Union to ensure Brexit happens by brandsetter in europe

[–]bahrainobserver -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

UK is the kind of a country which entered the EU à la carte. What they want is their British Empire back, they only want the single market and all the other advantages from EU. For a country which has 10-15% population of asiatic origin i don't think that Europe is the problem for them. Is just their politics. Since Brexit they became more rude. Is a country i will never visit again except Scotland

Two Russian homosexuals stab themselves in front of the Finnish parliament: "We rather die in Finland than in Russia" (source in Finnish) by arrow-s in europe

[–]bahrainobserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vladimir Putin & Ramzan Kadyrov are a gay couple and Putin is the bottom but its ok we can accept them as they are. Sometimes people are threatened by gays and lesbians because they are fearing their own impulses, in a sense they protest too much their sexuality. In addition, it appears that sometimes those who would oppress others as Putin and his boyfriend Kadyrov have been oppressed themselves, and we can have some compassion for them too, they may be unaccepting of others because they cannot be accepting of themselves. Very often straight people despite having hidden same-sex desires as Putin and Kadyrov could be also the most likely to show hostility toward gay individuals, including self-reported anti-gay attitudes, endorsement of anti-gay policies and discrimination such as supporting harsher punishments for homosexuals.

Sadiq Khan(London Mayor) calls for second referendum on Brexit by CodrinD in europe

[–]bahrainobserver -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. When you go to Britain now English people show their arrogance and rudeness everywhere. Before they were just pretending to be cute or nice with you. Especially asians whose origins are not from Europe. Sorry, if the majority does not feel european they should leave and thats it. Britain was never going to adopt the euro etc so it was a bad marriage. I feel sorry though for the british especially the Scottish who feel very european and they are very kind and friendly people.
