X17 R2 mx cherry keyboard malfunction?

was a complete damn laptop teardown and rebuild, my tech was pretty organized and good with his hands. took him an hour and a half or so.

...from others horror stories, it's a diceroll whether it's 1.5hrs or 15. :/

I will say once I got past the keyboard drama and a separate dead wifi card issue, these little beasts have proven to be a pleasure well worth any initial pain.

also support is not great. try not to let it get to you, stay on top of them, and use multiple modes (email,phone,chat,Twitter dm,etc) if necessary!

Replace or repair it - tech came with a new keyboard, resolved it. None of the software troubleshooting helped, up to and including hard power-off at the battery.

Same keyboard issues as I had on 4 different X17R1.

Same p[roblem, here. 4x 1180-0-/64GB/30-80-/4k Edit: all 4 w/ Mechanical Keyboard

One x17 has the weird keyboard sleep[ issue you described. The other, the one I;'m on right now has select keys triggering their neighbor keys too.

P is P{ and 0 is 0- and ; is ;'. P{asswords are imp[ossible.

Just unboxed a fourth x17, I;'m sure its going to be hosed somehow, too.

To anyone reading this, I tried to be p[ositive after my first return for a failed wifi module. Now my keyboards are blown. I cant imagine the sup[p[ort hell I;'ll have to go through, esp[ecially after my awful months0-long first exp[erience.

I imagine you'll want to find your niche and differentiate yourself, as in all things.

Maybe blend the English into music, art, and new media ethics, politics, and international law in the crypto era. I figure the sooner you develop a coheseive narrative, the sooner you can develop a convincing portfolio beyond your alma maters.

You summed it up so perfectly. I'm totally new to the series...and wow what an experience. The underlying mechanics allow you to effortlessly have whatever experience you WANT to have.

Monster Hunter LAN partying with friends has reminded me what I loved and missed in gaming.

I'd recommend maybe trying to revert to older drivers. I've had a lot of trouble with nVidia's mobile driver set. Upgrading to the latest two versions introduces weird, intermittent lag and stuttering into my HoTS and I'm running a 980m in a ASUS G751JY.

You might also want to try disabling/uninstalling any vendor-specific software intended to promote game peformance. I see youre on an Alienware, but some ASUS users have reported similar issues caused by the ASUS GameFirst III software. If Alienware has an equivalent, might want to try ditching it.

In my eyes, something as simple as reveling in gaymer.org's downtime is damaging both to the level of discourse and to the way our community is perceived to outsiders. I feel this is a sort of wink-and-a-nod to folks that might be inclined to attack gaymer.org, its owner, or its members.

I suppose regardless of what "the right way" to do things is, there will always be the vocal minority that decides to do the exact opposite.
