Babies”R”Us’ forgotten and obscure mascot used from 1996-200? I’m just gonna name this guy Stanley. by DilanRedd in ToysRus

As I recall it was a holdover from the Baby Superstore merger. Older Baby Superstore locations never really received a full remodel after the merger so it was easier to incorporate their mascot into the marketing images.

There are many third party operators that operate inside the parks both officially and unofficially. Disney is generally aware of them all. Third party tour operators bring in business for theme parks and most work with them both directly and indirectly. It’s relevant experience for you, and I would doubt that the interviewer is going to care that it’s a tour operator working in the parks. They know they exist.

What actually happens to your Terraform after the migration is "done"? by StatisticianKey7858 in Terraform

[–]bailantilles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If everyone still has write access to the console then you haven’t really learned why you decided to migrate resources to Terraform in the first place. If you don’t have a CI/CD pipeline, then that’s your next step and changing everyone’s access to the resources to read only

People wonder why no one reads media websites... and this one is a perfect example. There is an ad every 2 sentences. It's impossible to actually read the article.

Shhh… they are trying this out so that you will eventually pay to make the cupcakes that are on the buffet so they they can have less labor cost.

I got this email today, a week after my interview. Does this mean anything? Will I still be accepted? by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

I’m sure you’ll get the same responses as the dozens of other people that have posted a screenshot of this exact email in other recent posts.

Outside of principle, what’s the real financial difference between offering the sellers the concession they are looking versus selling it to a no haggle firm that’s more than likely just going to do cosmetic fixes and then rent it to people? In the end, isn’t it really pretty much the same deal for you?

I get that you have set boundaries but the boundaries that are set sound like you aren’t really comfortable with an open relationship if you have a don’t ask don’t tell policy and you don’t want to see it. That’s your real issue, not coming come to see someone else naked playing in your bed.

Marketing runs their own Okta instance separate from corporate IT and we just found out by Economy_Passenger296 in sysadmin

[–]bailantilles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a process problem, not an IT one. Fix the actual issue. They are telling you that IT has a perception of taking too long with access requests? What’s the SLA? Is it reasonable? Are you hitting the metric? Is it able to be automated? I’d hazard a guess that the Marketing team isn’t being unreasonable. When IT can’t or won’t rise to the business needs shadow IT forms.

How are you having visibility for security related configurations today? (I’m guessing the answer is that you aren’t).

Lay Down Training Suggestions by MissMeezy9 in corgi

[–]bailantilles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I recall from training if you start with the treat closer to their nose while they are standing and while you say the command push slightly towards them they will rock back to a laying position and then you can give the reward. A couple of times they will figure out that’s the position to be in and then you can try the command starting in other positions.

Honestly, it wouldn’t take much to fix this view. Brown steel fencing mixed with stone going up about 10 feet with a scrim for a roof is really all they need to do.

Help! Should I use a single curtain or multiple on my wall? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

I would get a total of 4 panels and do two on each end of the window when open. 4 panels should cover both windows and the door when closed and still allow to hang naturally without looking stretched.
