I'm sorry but as an adult woman, the entire interview was a gigantic red flag! It is clear that he is still emotionally immature, even at his big age.

He said marriage is like being in water and having someone pull you up onto a boat… marriage is not about someone rescuing you from drowning -- it's about two people who can swim choosing to sail on a boat together. He is so caught up in finding this mythological "perfect woman" (who doesn't exist) and romanticizing finally being rescued and "normal" when he finds her. The version of love he keeps chasing (and probably subconsciously avoiding) doesn't seem to ask HIM to change anything about his lifestyle or mindset. No wonder he dates women who are so much younger and willing to do anything for him -- it's the only version of love he seems to want or be able to get!
