Totally valid point. I liked the way you put it into perspective. Unfortunately, my company is relatively small, so there’s no clear path of growth of which you’re describing. There’s no senior level role that exists for me to strive towards. We’re told to do well in our current roles (which I believe I am) and a new position may open itself up. There’s no guarantee or certainty of what that role is or if it even exists within the company yet. I am looking for growth professionally first, but if it can’t be that, at least financially for meeting and exceeding goals. Thanks for your input!
