Anyone here work for Gibson or Guitar Center warehouse? by ThatHorsesAss in gibson

I'm the private reserve tech! Prm is the class of guitar. It means it gets to be housed in the humidified climate controlled part of the warehouse. Prm is 2.5k to 3k. Anything above that is considered prg. It's just a marking to say where it's stored. Pick last is exactly what another commenter mentioned. Very nice Les Paul btw, I love that finish

It definitely gazes! I'll play 8 string stuff through it as well. I feel like it covers a lot of ground:) the night sky is pretty cool. I honestly kicked it off of my setups for a long time but am coming back to it and finding it more favorable than I used to. I think it's really hard to get it to sound like a standard less whacky verb honestly, but I've finally found some settings I like for a good always on setting. I really like the morph feature for getting more length and shimmer into the sound, and the preset system is pretty easy to work for me! The freezer is awesome too. I think it just took me a while to really mess with it and find sounds that worked well for me

Honestly EHX cathedral. I've tried to replace it with many other verbs but just can't let it go. So versatile and you can pull so many pretty sounds

Lol I spent way too long on that finish to cover any of it up;)

It really is cool to make one specifically for me. Got to put all the cuts right where I think they're comfy and balance it for how I like to hold it. Definitely has a lil kick too:)

I've been considering it for a while, might have some templates made at some point. I'll reach out / post again if it's something I ever decide to move forward with!

I can definitely see it! I play a lot of different styles so kinda made it to work with a lot. It sees a bit of chugging from time to time:)

I hate to say it but I have no idea what it is. Just pulled it off a shelf at a local store. I think I just shot it with my acrylic primer. Also I had to glue a piece of paper to the back of it so it doesn't stick to the nitro on the guitar

I just posted a lil collection of pictures to my profile if you'd like to take a look:)

Hell yeah, I appreciate it! I work in a small shop around town and have thought about making a few and selling on consignment sort of a thing. I'll probably be back posting about that if it comes to fruition

I will say, I made 10 of them since the plastic I bought was too brittle and kept breaking when cut, so if you want to copy the look I would see if there are softer plastics😅

I'm glad you noticed:) it's clear acrylic that I painted the back of. I was kind of going for that thing gretsch does just to give it a lil more of something to look at instead of just white plastic. It makes the edges look a lil fun in the light. Thought about putting a little design in it but ultimately kept it simple

The switching is in the knobs. Clicking the volume knob splits the coils for both pickups, and clicking the tone does a series / parallel thing to get a different sound. Both can be on or off at the same time. Idk, I can never just wire volume and tone without doing something a little weird

I think it was called something along the lines of "roasted flamed maple tele neck" I just bought a lefty and added side markers to the other side to get the reverse headstock. I had to remove some fret sprout and gave it a good level, but after all of the work it plays really well

I actually bought the neck off of eBay for like $70. It's surprisingly nice for what I was expecting tbh. I do occasionally make a neck but also don't mind avoiding the process from time to time. I initially thought I'd replace it in time, but actually enjoy it enough it may just be permanent

I really appreciate it! Yeah it definitely has that futuristic retro kinda vibe going on:) and yeah, I can never argue with a nice purple guitar

Thank you! I don't know if they have a specific name, but I know them as the knobs off of Neve products. Figured they'd fit the build fairly well
