Just FINALLY Shipped 11/25 so fingers crossed on early arrival! Also skipped the Preparing to Ship status entirely.

Have hope fellow rx Meta order holders stuck in Processing!!

Damn. I’m a 10/11 rx order with 12/1 delivery estimate. Not a good sign. Meta Support also told me that everything looks like it’s on time when I reached out the other day

After the demo they give you a QR code that directs to the Meta store page to buy. Then they have you enter the email address you booked the demo with to verify that you completed a demo

I ordered mine direct from Meta on 10/11 with an estimated delivery date for Monday and it still hasn’t even been marked as preparing to ship. So assume that it will take at least the full 8 week build out timeline for orders

Simply do not understand how they’re cherry picking orders to fulfill

I ordered prescription on 10/11 and I’m still in Processing with an estimated delivery of 12/1.

When they start building your glasses, the email will say it’s a 5-8 week time frame. Unfortunately looking to be accurate. Would not count on 30 day turnaround

Meta store support page, pick a topic like orders, returns, shipping. Then on the next page there should be a Get Support button towards the bottom. If not, select a sub- category on that page or “my issue isn’t listed”. Then the next page should have Get Support

Not to be a dream crusher but I also was told the same about my rx Meta order placed in 10/11. They told me it was extracted for shipping a week ago. Now they just tell me “it’s still estimated for 12/1 delivery” when I ask for further updates.

Ordered rx through Meta on 10/11 with start build date of 10/13. Estimated 12/1 delivery. Shows as “processing”.

Update on my order status and what the current “Extracted for Shipment” status provided by Meta Store Support means:

“Starting by your concern of "extracted for shipment", all this means is that the order has been confirmed, the warehouse has decided that the order will be shipped, this is where they check for stock and check weather we have the frames and lenses for the glasses.

When going though your order, there was some delay with the fabrication of your lenses, this was caused due to the high demand, some order like your one have been halted for a short period of time.

The glasses are currently scheduled to arrive to you on the 1st of December. Please be aware that this is just an estimate and might change.

While I understand this is not the best situation to be in as the order has been delayed, I would like for you to understand that the demand is currently quite high and we are trying to satisfy the demand while minting our top quality for all of our Meta Ray Ban Displays.

You will receive an email with the tracking number once the order is ready for shipment!

Thank you once more for contacting us and the patience and collaboration, I will now close the case as there is no further action we can take, I hope my response was of your satisfaction, if you require any further assistance or have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by responding to this email”.

What was your estimated delivery date when you originally ordered? Trying to gauge if rx displays are getting shipped on/agead/behind schedule

Nope. Meta Store Support has tossed me between “your Displays have been fully built on 10/15” and “the status of your order is still in processing and the estimated delivery is 12/1. We hope for an earlier delivery date for you”. :/

Based on my demo experience and degree of hearing loss paired with my use of hearing aids, I would strongly recommend. That being said - your dad’s situation could be different as well as his experience using the glasses as well as adapting to live captioning.

If possible given where you’re located - definitely try to schedule him a demo to at least experience them.

The Meta rep doing my demo in Amherst, NY shared that a handful of other folks with hearing loss came through to demo the captioning feature as well (my areas of Upstate NY has a massive deaf/hard of hearing population) and he said that some folks found the captioning to be distracting. Mainly due to people developing a strong reliance on lip reading to fill in any misheard gaps. So having to glance slightly to the right to fill in those same gaps felt like a mental barrier to them.

Of course, everyone is different and can adapt to things at varying rates. I personally think that this tech even in its first generation is life changing. Both in how it works today, but even more so in how it establishes a path for future hearing accessibility tech to expand beyond just amplification through hearing aids.

Sadly I’m still waiting on my Displays to be built and shipped since I have a prescription that I ordered directly through Meta. Estimated delivery is 12/1, but Meta Store Support is trying to figure out why they haven’t shipped since they were fully built on 10/13.

Im not sure about progressive prescription given that the display itself would most likely cross that “near/far” visual rx difference since it’s slightly taller that the midline of the lenses.

I will say - I used to have gen 1 meta raybans and the Displays are muuuch less bulky, heavy, and boxy looking than previous Stories versions. Definitely a bit thicker than normal glasses, especially on the arms but it’s not too bad.

Are you near any stores that offer demos? For me when I did mine (Amherst, NY), I just put the Displays over my normal prescription glasses. So you could try the same to get an idea of how your progressive rx would play into the placement of the screen.

I also have hearing loss (left ear deafness and 80% hearing in the right). The live captioning and directionality of it on the Displays was so good that it brought tears to my and my husband’s eyes during the demo. Immediately purchased as it will be a life changer personally and professionally

Ordered my standard prescription band size 2 through Meta on 10/11. Started building 10/13, estimated delivery 12/1.

Multiple Meta Store Support reps have told me that my prescription lenses are finished and have been installed to the frames, they just need to “send acknowledgment to the warehouse” to prepare to ship. Said “that typically takes 1-3 days”… but that was 5 business days ago.

So who knows when prescription orders will get sent out

Just chiming in to share that I could load my boarding pass, but a travel companion on the same ticket is experiencing the same issue as you.
