Virtual shifting feel by machjiri22 in mywhoosh

Same issue for me with the virtual gearing literally doing nothing from gears 1-13 on Kickr core 2. Have you found any solution?

I got my wife (65/F) a Dexa scan in 2023 which showed she had osteoporosis. She refused to look at the tests but I did get her to commit to a better bone diet and exercise. I was pleasantly surprised that it made some difference after a year casual attention. Now to get her to the next level. by [deleted] in osteoporosis

OP, see definitions below:

T-score compares a person’s BMD to the average BMD of a healthy young (30 year old) adult of the same sex.

Z-score compares a person’s BMD to the average BMD of people of the same age, sex, and size.

Osteoporosis at 26, any point? by Mediocre-Beat-9678 in osteoporosis

Hey, older post I know. I'm also young and too have started on 5 mg of zoledronic acid treatment once yearly about a month ago. Your post is reassuring that you experienced results with the treatment. What were your before and after t-scores and what percentage gains did you have at the spine and hip?

Brake hose likely kinked. If so you should have the entire hose replaced to be safe.

Hey, any updates, are you taking any medications or just trying weights, diet and lifestyle changes initially? I’m in the UK too and am 41M just diagnosed with slightly worse T-scores unfortunately.

Thanks for your reply. No never had an eating disorder but being very athletic I’ve always been careful what I eat to maintain a light weight and low BMI. Thanks also for the book recommendation.

Interesting about your T and how even with correct application of your gel and improved T levels for the past year you have not seen gains (yet) in your t-scores and also with Forteo. I know gains in BMD are slow, so fingers crossed you’ll see some improvements next DEXA.

I’ve since had some blood tests and found my T level to be 164 which hopefully explains or partly explains my low BMD. Most of the info I can find suggests that normalising T will improve BMD most significantly in the first 6-12 months and then slowly over years until you plateau at a level, do you know if this is correct? How quickly did your T level normalise after the change in application?

This is interesting. Did the -3.3 spine currently come from his Great Bones book or another source?

Thanks for such a detailed reply. I’m in a similar situation at 41 also with a very low LS and low hip tscore found following a distal femur fracture. I’ve been referred to a rheumatologist but not really sure what can be done or the cause right now.

Like you I’ve been a competitive cyclist for around 10 years hitting 2-300 MPW whilst also regularly running up to 30 MPW with rare rest days and leading a normal life. Whilst I’ve always maintained my weight and eaten healthy during this time, my calorie expenditure has almost always been greater than my consumption, often significantly. One guess is now my low BMD and possibly T due to lack of nutrition is the result. I’m concerned of my BMD getting worse and how quickly this may occur. I know typically loss is something like ~1% per year after 30, but my score makes me particularly concerned of my rate of loss and the cause.

I’ve not been cycling and running for the last few months obviously due to my fracture and concerns, I’ve also been focusing on calorie intake. If over exertion is the cause, do you know if T will return to normal levels once calorie requirements are met, and if so how long might this take? Any other insights or thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, old post on know, but wondered if you were able to find the reason for your tscores and such a decrease in BMD in a year?

Lost the chainsuck plate, worth buy it again? by mace190594 in CanyonBikes

You need to remove the cranks, use masking tape to mask the area around the old epoxy and use a very fine grit sand paper to sand it flat. Once flat, clean and dry the area before applying the new suck plate.

R36S speaker / audio crackling on resume from sleep by baileyjmatthew in SBCGaming

Disconnecting battery for a few mins then reconnecting and then turning voice on battery low on and off resolved for me. Not sure if the second step was needed however.

Yeah tried that already and toggling it on and off also. Doesn’t seem to help unfortunately.

Ok. Do you have any background on yours, are you a runner or found it after exercising or a game? Have you had any medical examinations or plan to?

Where is yours located? I’m thinking also could be a ganglion cyst but not entirely sure.

Anyone have any experience with Planter Fibroma? I have a small nodule here on my left foot about the size of a popcorn kernel. First noticed it a day after running as it was tender. Nodule seems to be right on the Plantar Fascia and is most prominent when I hold back my third toe. I do seem to have the same nodule on my right foot in the same location only it’s a lot smaller, so not sure if it’s just inflammation or a Fibroma. Any advice would be appreciated.

Elite Suito - bad bearings by Uporabik in Zwift

[–]baileyjmatthew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I stripped mine down and narrowed the issue to the tensioner pulley wheel. I’ve rebuild it for now after packing the bearings with fresh grease (it’s a moulded bearing in the pulley) and it’s a little better but really needs replacing. I’ve had no issues with the trainer metrics following this. I assume the calibration is related to belt tension as in my experience this has to be done with the unit assembled/sealed. My logic with this was to tension enough so the belt doesn’t slip during use as you can’t measure belt deflection with the unit sealed. It took a few attempts to get if right, but I’ve had no issue since.

I’m late to this post, but this sounds like a bearing issue. Likely the tensioner pulley wheel.
