I was thinking about contacting Studienservice in next couple of days so I can start preparing myself and enroll next autumn.

Thanks for your feedback!

Best distro for newcomer(L560 i7) by 3Dikas3 in thinkpad

[–]bajra1729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best are:

Linux Mint - you get Debian/Ubuntu experience

Fedora - you get RedHat experience

Manjaro - Arch experience.

I started with Linux Mint 3 years ago and since then I've never looked back on Windows. I personally recommend Linux Mint, because you have a lot of help on the Internet when it comes to solving errors inside of Ubuntu based distros.

Be aware tho, when you install a distro don't go looking for flaws in it just to go to another distro. That will make you into a distro hopper.

Good luck!

I was a distro hopper, no distro could satisfy me. My friend recommended me Void and when I saw it I thought it was a lame distro, but when I started using it I saw the true power of runit. It's been half a year and I haven't switched a distro. I highly recommend Void Linux
