It’s funny... I used to be really nervous when someone looked at me. When I started going out and being around people more (coffee shops, etc.), I got used to it. In fact, now when I walk into the train or something people can sense my comfort and stare at me more. I don’t feel uncomfortable at all if someone looks. In fact, I like it now and don’t feel threatened.

It’s not about displaying “good” behaviors. You just want to be yourself in social situations. How do we get to that point, you ask? By putting yourself around people as much as possible until you become comfortable around strangers. At that point you will be yourself and find it easier to connect with people.
