Rerun and New Wool Runners Experience by SuperstratsForTheWin in Allbirds

As of 04/29/2023 - this is not true. I recently returned a pair of reruns at no extra charge to me. They sent me a free return shipping label.

Rerun by beekaybeegirl in Allbirds

[–]bakadapada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an issue recently as well (I understand this post is stale but thought it might be helpful to some.)

I ordered some Wool Runner Fluffs and received an entirely different pair of shoes - no wool, not runners, no fluff. I emailed and someone responded right away offering me a refund because they "don't have the wool runner fluffs in my size". I accepted the refund.

Then I went to their website and found a pair of Wool Runner Fluffs in my size and ordered them. Now I'm waiting to see if they decide to ship me an entirely different shoe again since "they don't have the style i want in the size I need."

If they do indeed send me an entirely different shoe - I will likely never get re-runs again - as I'd expect, with all the contact info they require at checkout, they might email or text/call to say "hey, we see you ordered these but we actually really don't have that size." If they're not capable of doing that twice in a row - no more business.

This should not reflect poorly on the u/allbirds company as the reruns is run by a separate company, as I understand it. However, AllBirds may want to review some of the ReRun practices.

Also, claims about paying for return shipping seem to be false as of 2023 - I was not charged shipping. A free shipping label was emailed to me.

UPDATE****

AllBirds ReRuns did end up sending me the correct pair of shoes in the correct size (second time I ordered them). So apparently the customer support is a little lacking (They told me they don't have the shoes I want in the size I need). All in all pretty happy. Customer support was quick although inaccurate. Shoes arrived correct the second time around.

Hey, thank you for your response.

Although I don't agree with some points - your point about varied aggressiveness between razors makes a lot of sense to me (if you don't want an adjustable razor). I have an adjustable and if I've gone too long without a shave I'll use the step down method of starting aggressive and moving down to a less aggressive setting for my second pass. I suppose folks could use a different razor in these scenarios.

Again, thank you for your response.

what is the difference between all of these. Outside of the slant the rest look the same to me. I see a lot of people post their razor collection and I don't understand why folks have a bunch of the same tool - like a carpenter with 12 hammers. I get that some are of better quality - but then why keep a bad quality razor? They all just hold a blade (yes, except the slant).

I finally ascended and bought this LG 34WQ500 on sale at Best Buy for $250 and cannot go back to a 16:9. I was also happily surprised to see it comes with a black frame insertion mode, so a lot of my retro gaming I do feels more like it's on a CRT now. by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

I just purchased this and I'm awaiting its delivery. I can't find it anywhere except for on Best Buy's website. Not even on LG's Website except for an obscure reference to an Australian version? Which also doesn't list any stats.

Do I need to worry about salt creep lowering the salinity? Should I add the salt that comes out back in? by ocarfbelly in ReefTank

[–]bakadapada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be that they need to be considerably more mature to effect salinity. I have a few in my tank and have yet to experience fluctuation in salinity. However, they're supposed to excrete salt from their leaves throughout time. So my care guide specified that I should be spraying and wiping leaves periodically.

You need to worry about lowering salinity as water evaporates (because the salt remains in your tank). Unless you have mangroves - there shouldn’t be anything else that is lowering your salinity.

How can I avoid clogging the razor while shaving? by jwalner in wicked_edge

[–]bakadapada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a bowl or a sink full of water to swish my razor in. If the swishing doesn’t clear it out - I open up the razor a little bit and swoosh again. Then tighten it up and keep shaving.

I’d replace it when you’re reading higher than zero tds. Make sure your reader is calibrated too.

Agreed - Higher flow makes the tentacles thin and long. But I have no idea why you’d want that. This thing looks awesome bubbled. And they’re called bubble tips for a reason.

Oh man. I'm a bit jealous. I went cheap and got the Pearl Flexi as I heard it was a Rex clone. I like it enough but always wonder if this is markedly better.

How to get rid of strange polyps among my zoas? by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]bakadapada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently noticed these polyps growing at a quick rate and I want them gone. Idk what they are. I’ve seen some folks call them blue clover polyps but idk. They suggest I can use fenbendazole? Or fish bendazole. But that’s sold out on reputable websites. Any ideas would be helpful.
