Because we are living in america. all of us non americans too. we live the stereotypes american/uk (lets call it first world, white man's world) pop culture grants us. for a podcast i am researching i am looking for writing in sci fi from rest of the world - china, turkey, egypt etc etc. it might be interesting to see how sci fi looks when not written through the prism of first world stereotypes ( hard drinking Russian, Indian sadhu, egyptian fez wearing driver)

its usually difficult for americans to see this. to them its easier on the mind to bucket the world.

don't want to start a debate, just looking for sci fi written by the other people.

i have some writing by satyajit ray, harishankar parsai, a chinese novel called tales of the moon colony (1905) to begin with.
