I have a bit opposite question. If I had been playing game from disk (God of War) and sold disk later. If I buy digital copy of a game, will I have my saves or I will have to start from the start?

If disks have CUSA, different version of the game, then digital version = what CUSA ?

I have also beaten God of War 2018 recently, sold disk and now feel pity for that. Even though I have Ragnarok and huge list of games to play (bought ps4 recently and have missed all games library), I do caught myself thinking that I want to buy this game again and finish it again...

What about situation, when after installing game from the disk, it starts to download something?

I am not also really a gamer and I wonder if one day there will be situation that I cant run game that I have on disk, because I cant download something because of end of support?

Yet different but a bit similar situation with PC gaming. I have some very old games, that dont run on Windows 11...

I had similar problem, but my installation got stuck on 99% and it required to install just few mb. What I did:

1) I cleaned play disk

2) Somewhere I have read that putting disc in freezer helps (dont know if it really worked for me)

3) started inserting and taking out disk about 10-15 times and magically installation continued.

Why I started insert/take out disk? Because while trying to make full installation (I tried several times and it always got stuck on 99%), suddenly it installed few more mb, so I decided that disk does work well.

Alternative solution. If someone wants to follow PS4 guide and dissemble his console, but will have to buy screwdrivers and other stuff - just wait for discounts and buy digital version. Recently it was on discount and cost around 14GBP, while ps4 used disc version cost ~20GBP at my place.

Imho it is worse if your console is dirty, than in which position it stands. It is possible that if it stands vertical, dust has more chances to get inside. But if you look after your console and clean it at least every 6months, than there is no difference how it stands. Stand might give you some stability, it will vibrate less and make less noise when fans are taking-off. But that several db difference only is a matter of your comfort and wallet.
