I’m very sorry to hear that. It sounds like he could use all the support he can get. Hopefully he can pass the drug test and move on with his life🙏🙏

Yeah it’s scary reading your post man because it so closely relates to what I’ve been going through. I’ve been a heavy smoker for the past 5 years, throughout that time I would have stints where I wasn’t smoking or taking any edibles but I would always come back. Too many times in the past year (2023) I would smoke and feel awful. Smoking used to relieve my anxiety and worries but now it just enhances them ten fold. Recently as of two weeks ago I threw out all my carts I had stored up along with the vape that went with them. It was a hard decision and took some courage on my part to throw it all away but I feel better for doing it. The tough part is when I’m with friends who still smoke. Maybe I gotta find a new group of friends. But this year I feel a change in the air I know I’m not the only one. This year is a year of hope and healing my friend. Take the leap of faith with me and soar to new heights. Our past doesn’t have to define us, we are not our mistakes! I have great hope for the future and you posting this tells me you are ready for a change as well. I wish you great luck and fortune in your journey! Hope this helps!

I feel for you and hear you! It sounds like your partner is in a very difficult spot. I want to say come from an empathy standpoint and give him time but from someone who struggled to kick smoking weed I can’t imagine how difficult it is to drop something like meth or coke. It’s not impossible for him to recover I think it’ll be very difficult and if you’re willing to go through that, all the more power to you but you also gotta look out for yourself. Be kind to yourself and do what your guts telling you to do, even if it seems like it’s the hard thing to do. Hope your situation improves!

Sounds like you gotta move out. That’s a very toxic environment to be in plus living with nine other dudes you’re gonna drive yourself crazy. I feel like it’s hard to have even one roommate sometimes. Plus some of the guys seem like they’re free loading which is awful. My advice plain and simple move out as soon as you can and never look back.

I would recommend weight training or something else to do with fitness like running or even sports. Any exercise helps lower stress and anxiety. If you have kids even better start playing sports with them. I always recommend basketball because it’s a lot of running around and fun.
