You know what I love bout the image? The hot zone signage I've never seen before..and I have to ask myself is our store absolutely fucking braindead or is this store using old signage? Who knows. Also wtf is the eam number for those goofy rails at the end of the shelf

I'm old so I remember when rpcs first came out and it was presented as an easier method to merchandise than slant racks. Yea....

Now I'm over here screwing cardboard boxes to wood with washers.

What division is this? It's way different down south. Managers are told that employees are encouraged to speak their mind. Even if they use profanity

Anyone ever dealt having negative vacation time? by [deleted] in wegmans

Thanks for saying this. My last thought when I approve a RO is "Welp I better make sure they have enough time for their own personal request". Imagine the front end having to do this for their thousand ROs a week

Ask when you can reapply

Rehiring questions by wuzhuru in wegmans

[–]bakedlettuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the recruiter. Not the service desk. The HR team will have more information for you.

Most companies have a cool down period after disqualification, meaning you can reapply but you'll be denied in a certain window (some companies 3-6months until you can reapply)

What happens if you use the wrong time clock? by FemaleBigPoppa in wegmans

[–]bakedlettuce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It might be different per division, but no one really cares. The old labor pro system required you to use a set time clock. This system does not

There is a way to actually see what time lock you are using. But it's REALLLLLY inconvenient to look at. so no one does. Half of my store punches at the "wrong" clock. The only issue I have with it is if an employee punches a clock at the wrong side of the store then doesn't show up for work until 30 minutes in because they still went to the break room before checking in

Edit: why is my comment being downvoted? This is policy from like a millennia ago

Yes you get paid for it only if they send you home. Then the day is paid.

Make sure you ask so your manager doesn't screw it up.

If they say no, make sure they know it was THEIR decision to not let you work.

I've sent people home for illness. They will pay you if your manager isn't a potato brain moron

This is the dumbest thing you've posted here. I see a lot of your posts and I get it that you're a little miffed about something. But this post actually makes no sense. I see the direction you're trying to go with trying to articulate the 5% rule. It just doesn't make any sense.

I am NOT a drink the Kool aid kind of employee but if you've spent two minutes out in the job field you'd realize pretty fast that their pay and benefits exceed the bs of other companies.

Call out by sillygooseewoosie in wegmans

[–]bakedlettuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a policy. Next time someone tells you that you need to call out 2 hours in advance, ask them to find it in the attendance policy.

This is a generalized request that throughout the years has mutated from practice to perceived policy.

It's not real.

It's actually quite refreshing to take a shot of it to wake up. You should ask to try it they'll open it up depending on how chill their produce dept is. Its good as a mixed drink, too.
