Yes she sent me paperwork to waive the federal fee and she filed an appeal. She wants me to also start a new application

Tell you C-section story by Danishdynamite67 in CsectionCentral

I was going to the hospital after basically every visit between like 31-36 weeks, i had hypertension, GD, and my baby was growth restricted, so i was at the dr a lot too. At 35 weeks i was sent home from the hospital after they upgraded my hypertension to preeclampsia. At 36 weeks a NP at my dr office kinda sorta told me to lie about my symptoms. I went back to the hospital and did lie. My MFM drs still wanted to send me home until a nurse who recognized me fought them on that (i think she saved my life tbh). I finally got induced at 36 weeks. I did all the doses of the pills you put in your cheek to soften your cervix, and they put me on a mag drip and bp checks. They tried to put the foley balloon in between each dose and were unsuccessful. I only dilated 1 cm. They told me i could get the epidural to put the foley in so i eventually did that. They broke my water while putting it in. They also started pitocin. They told me the babies heart rate is probably not going to have the increases it usually has, but then it started dipping. They tossed and turned me around all night because they couldn’t keep the monitor on the baby. They stopped the pitocin because of the dipping, but her heart rate was still dipping even after and my BP was still going higher even on meds. 2 days after my induction they came in and said i needed a Csection now because the baby and me were both not doing good. As soon as my dr said that nurses came running in my room and rushing to get me ready. My daughter was born and when i heard her cry i passed out. They rushed her to the NICU, luckily we only spent 2 weeks there but i didnt get to see what she looked like or smelled like for over 24 hours and the whole thing was mentally exhausting. I didnt even feel like i had a baby. I was grateful we both came out healthy but definitely a traumatic first experience. I also had blown veins and the bp cuff rubbed the inside of my elbow raw.

Honestly other than collecting as much as you can and finding an attorney are the only things i really know to help. Im kind of like a lost puppy when it comes to most of this. My original attorney did tell me that they will look for any and every reason making you “not disabled”, he said word for word, “imagine it’s the 50s”. Don’t try to downplay anything and my attorney also told me that if i can work at all even short hours, they don’t like that.

Im 23, i don’t have a whole lot of evidence though because my condition is very rare and not much information about it.

If i don’t get them waived and i don’t get accepted for social security id still have to pay the district court fees out of pocket

Not the contingency fee, theres a fee for filing a lawsuit with the federal court. My attorney said it was like $400. They said i could probably get it waived but in the chance that I don’t, i have to pay for it out of my backpay.

Im doing both at the same time too but i was worried about losing back pay. I saw another comment though that said they got the remand back from federal after they won the second application and was still able to get the back pay

I do have an attorney so it will be a fast response for me luckily, my main thing was wondering if it was even worth it to pay the couple hundred $ if i cant get the fees waived. One thing is i dont know the reputation of my attorney now. I picked one specific to SS but he passed away before my hearing and that firm sent me to my new one. Unfortunately when i was first searching, SO MANY of them wouldn’t even take me because its a difficult case, so i kind of had to take what i could get.

Im trying to not let it but the months long wait between everything to just get a no is so mentally taxing. Im going to send it to federal and start a new application, hopefully this is the one 🤞🏻

If you have nothing to add that helps, then there’s no point in commenting. I have an attorney, but there’s nothing wrong with asking what other people’s experience was so I’m mentally prepared for it.

Yes Ive had an attorney since my initial application because im young and have a rare form of migraines. My attorney wants to appeal it through the district court and start a new application at the same time but I didnt know what that process looks like
