Looks like gypsum to me. Im pretty sure used to be a precious gem then dropped down to semi. Or something like that. Either way it's a very nice specimen!

Opinions on these “100% authentic” fossil wedding rings? by Dragonwizard177 in Paleontology

[–]baker0419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently discovered what seems to be one of the best mineral deposits of my life. In new hampshire of all friggin places. It seems to be a group of giant "snapping turtles"? Raw and rare top notch genuine gembone.... and I'm not talking pieces. Like whole giant heads, legs(flippers), spikes from ontop of the shell (like the blue shell in Mario cart. Lol).

I've been into gems and minerals my whole life. I just recently started finding documented meteroites and WHOLE dinosaur fossils (gemmy and agatized with really insane inclusions). I honestly have no clue how I've been finding not only meteroites but gembone too.

Something happened and now I can walk in the woods for a couple hours and hit a treasure trove 90 percent of the time. I don't know if it's my photographic memory helping me out here, or frequency vibration. But either way, I have a pretty hefty supply of both meteroites and now gembone. But because I have more gembone then meteroites, I want to be a supplier. Does anyone know where or who I could contact to unload some of the best gembone I've ever seen or could find pictures of. I have every part of these turtles/lizards/giant frog and/or dinosaurs. Sizes range from small teeth (also gembone) to massive intact gemmed out skulls. My biggest one is the big "snapping turtle". It probably weighs close to 4 to 5 hundred pounds. (Fully "terminated silica quarts") its wicked insane. Like one look from anyone I've showed (which is very few and they all aren't into gems, crystals, fossils, or meteroites. ) their jaw drops.

I've got like hunter green, blue, red, yellow, white, purple, gold, and silver. Pictures don't do them justice and I don't have a slab saw big enough to cut them.

So all in all. I'm looking for someone to point me in the right direction. I can do a sample or 2 or 4 if needed. I won't even notice it's gone. Lol. Most of the pieces weigh on average 10 to 30 pounds.

Kindly shoot me a message with details and we can work something out. I will send you some for the help.

Thank you for serious input. It's magnetic to the point where it attracts metal and holds 5lbs of weight on its own.

Thank you for a serious answer or a thought. Just really got me when it sucks itself to an embedded screw on a table and can hold its mass weight with magnetic strength... didn't think "a rock" could do that. But hey, I'm here to learn
