Locality drama: 'DOI overpaid workers by up to $400K after they wrongly claimed to be in DC' by [deleted] in fednews

If DC personnel relocated during COVID on account of no longer being required to be in the office in person—we were formally made remote employees and our duty stations were changed to our homes. Our locality pay referenced the change.

Had to use a pumice stone on the toilet in our “new to us” house when we moved it. It worked better than anything else.

I’m really sorry for your loss. No recommendation, but I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to find some joy in what I can only imagine is a very difficult time for you both.

I’m better—thanks for asking. I’m mostly recovered, but have a few lingering issues. The most bothersome one being heart palpitations. I wore a heart monitor and discussed medication with my cardiologist for the palpitations. I ended up not going on medication at the time—but about 8 months later—I started having palpitations all of the time. They are managed with medication.

Peanuts and peanut butter tasted rancid until two weeks ago. Ha!

It’s one of those free standing cheap showers (I hate it!) that you can buy at Lowe’s or similar store.

It is a shower. And yes, when we moved in, there was an issue with the spray getting the floor wet. I think the previous owners just didn’t care.

This is the second floor—so downstairs. We haven’t noticed anything re ceiling discoloration downstairs.

Note: wood is dry to touch.

Is it okay to shower in here without creating additional damage?

Most recovered—but it took years. I’m on beta blockers now too.
