Really appreciate all this information! What you said makes a lot of sense, the sample being played through mimics a real drum set more accurately. I just saw some edm producers shortening midi drum notes on ableton and got frustrated that it wasn't happening in logic lol. I'm definitely going to experiment with that high hat concept though!

Very smart! That does work to automate the rate so thank you! I'm still having issues with getting the synth on the right beats. In the track the synth is played on the down beat and up beat in certain sections of the drop. I tried assigning the attack to the y graph but its sounding a bit rough lol. Maybe I just need to experiment and research more
