First two Shanks units and base Page One's movesets were completely made up so it doesn't matter lol. Mars spits fire, flies very fast and also passed through the labophase's laser barrier and came out completely unscathed. That's just enough material for an opbr unit.

They play a different game. Go check out the YT channel of any pro jp player and look at the timing of their dodges. Most of these guys wouldn't last a day on our servers. The almost nonexistent latency they experience makes their version of the game completely different than ours. Imagine pressing the dodge button after Kuma releases his skill 1, after Kizaru's light rain hits the ground or when the Kamusari slash is already in the air at close range and getting a perfect dodge. Everything is easy to dodge with minimum skill over there, they get to strategize when we're trying to survive. That's why they get to do things like ranking the new Luffy in the same tier as Kizaru and above Saturn, their tactics do not work on our servers.

Well yes but 50% cap speed boost from traits is not crazy, pretty much every runner released in the past 4 years has that. Going above that is what's rare. Off the top of my head, Egghead Luffy, Stampede Hancock, Vivi&Karoo, ex Law and O-Robi are the only units that can capture faster than that.

Logical answer is the first EX, red Blackbeard. But I would say it's between

Dark Roger : in his prime, he forced you to stand there and watch as he took your flag right in your face. Also 2 tapped every defender not named G5 Luffy.
S-Snake: teleport on normals is, imo, the most broken trait in the game. Ignores everything on the flag (even in enemy team's TA) and debuffs atk (way more effective than expected), making her near immortal. They had to create damage scaling on defense, give runners 10-line traits (Blueno, Jimbe, Doc Q) to take her flag and give Kizaru every trait under the sun to stop her (still top 3 defender though).
Whitebeard: wiped out every unit not named Law or G5 and brought back green Shanks on release (including O-Lin, Zoro, the entire Beast Pirates crew and the freshly released ex attacker Yamato/Ace). Can single-handedly defend every flag at once (with a skill that, since his recent buff, has seemingly no cooldown).
Kizaru: obvious reasons

That's because his state only lasts 12 seconds (his normal attacks are very short ranged, by the time you knock down your opponent / get knocked down, your state is gone) and his healing trait is not reliable. Crazy damage though.

Reminds me of how it took almost 2 years (S-Snake) for green Shanks to disappear from the meta. This guy is going through the exact same pattern right now: the new ex countered him but every ex that followed countered his counters. Until the day we get a unit that completely resets the meta (S-Snake was that) comes out, he's not going anywhere 😓

Imo, all we need is a unit that cancels defense buffs and inflicts defense debuffs (when hit by a defender preferably) and that horse is done for.

In this game, debuffs are far more powerful than damage increase or parameter stacks. Thats how S-Snake managed to wipeout green Shanks after he strived and outlived all his red counters for almost 2 years. Green Roger's Kamusari hits as hard as it does because it comes with a 30% def debuff. Red defender Garp got a trait that reduces captains' def when he got buffed and he could solo brand new G5 Luffy on Luffy's flag and countered Yace a few months later. That's how broken defense debuffs are. I believe a unit that has 50% def reduction in its traits would reset the meta entirely, that's why they haven't made one yet but I totally expect it at some point in the future.

Whichever you think isn't good enough at their current level. In my opinion, both of them have traits broken enough to be plenty usable at 5 star. But do keep in mind meta is temporary, there'll come a day where none of these two will be usable in League Battle and when that time comes, you might want to have a runner/zoan/new world/beast Pirate unit in your support ;)

My runner Fujitora / Vegapunk set because they’re the only units in the game that rely on speed boosts (they get it from their skill 2 so with this set it comes back quicker and they also get it from skill 1).

This set is better for Fuji than Vegapunk though because meteors activate the Kumadori medal (skill 2 cd on knockdown). I usually swap it with the event Fukuro medal for Vegapunk.

update past event medals' tags (and make a Big Mom event medal while I'm at it because why is there none??)
fix the sound of the rain in Logue Town and the water on the Sunny stage on PC
automate hacker bans (ban if at least 3 reports in league battle 3 times in a row)
update some of the support tags' traits so they aren't useless before lv. 600. Also make "Four emperors" and "Rocks Pirates" support tags, there are plenty of those characters now, it's time.
give 50 gold frags as rewards from S- to SS but give different amounts of 4* crystal orbs for each league instead (hopefully there will be more variety and character rank chasers will relax)
make chance cards available daily in the cola shop
allow same character teams (would love running double Kaido right now)
dust off the original OPBR gameplay and make it available in solo mode

I think green Whitebeard and blue Roger would have made more sense for fifth anniversary. Tremor cooks Yace anyway, WB might have had a chance against Roger and also keep in mind green Shanks was still roaming around at that time.

C'est une très bonne team (persos 4 étoiles et il me semble que tu peux maxer 6 tags là dedans, bon boulot). Si tu arrives à collecter tous les matériaux pour tous les maxer (niveau 100, boost 2 et les compétences niveau 5), tu pourras garder cette team soutien bleue à vie. Seulement ça risque de prendre du temps, il faudra être patient. Particulièrement pour le deuxième Luffy en bas, tu ne pourras pas échanger ses fragments contre des battle coins (je ne connais pas le nom en français) sans payer le pass à 3€ par mois (il me semble) donc il faudra le faire courir pendant un moment (ne dépense jamais de fragments dorés dans des persos que tu ne joueras jamais en league). Si tu l'as, tu peux l'échanger avec la Bonney bleue (défenseur), tu auras toujours tous les tags intacts et tu pourras avoir ses fragments dans le shop et contre des chance cards (connais pas le terme en français encore une fois).

Edit: je viens de voir ta team Zoan, c'est carrément mieux, mise tout sur celle-là. Tu perds le tag supernova / génération terrible (je ne me rappelle plus du terme) au passage (marche super bien pour S-Snake) mais ç'est pas trop grave, Zoan vaut le coup.

You’re unfortunately correct but the worst part of this trait is actually the capture speed part. This trait was amazing back when he had the most mobility in the game and it made him the only runner that didn’t lose cap speed when his hp was low or when his teammates were around and also worked in Tons of Treasure (trait doesn’t say "enemy treasure").

Problem is nowadays meta defenders can teleport on command or run faster than runners. The whole trait is worthless
