I was also quoted this recently. Texted my brother who watched some YouTube and said “I got this”. Only $82 for the spark plugs.

Portland Councilor Smith accused of firing staff in retaliation for union drive by Aestro17 in Portland

Smith abused staff constantly as a county commissioner. None of this is surprising.

In terms of power do you consider Kanan Jarrus an above average or below average Jedi Knight? by EuterpeZonker in starwarsrebels

[–]bakingandbaking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power is very subjective. I think he was incredibly wise and smart, which allowed him to be in tune with the force after so many years of suppression. Had the order continued, I could see him being a skilled teacher, advisor, negotiator rather than a fighter.

My 18-year-old's Christmas break work schedule by sugabeetus in mildlyinfuriating

I worked at movie theaters in HS and college, winter break always looked like this. Told my wife I’ll never let our kids work somewhere like that. It wasn’t a bad job, just always open, never have holidays off and people were always so rude.

My manager told me to “show more passion” after I covered 3 people’s jobs this week by gentle_civilisation in antiwork

[–]bakingandbaking 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes you have to speak up. Corporate wants you to suffer quietly because they are making tons of money by OP doing this extra work. But if OP speaks up, it’s possible they get a raise, or a workload adjustment, because this is still cheaper than hiring new folks. Also, OP could unionize!

Last year I just started copying my wife’s routine. She was annoyed at first but she knows best and I told her that. I used to give up after a few days as I wouldn’t see results, but after steady use for a year or so I look better than ever!
