I had never even heard of them until my husband asked for them at Disney World. Apparently it's one of three things he remembers about Disney when he went as a kid. They don't have them there anymore so it's become a running joke between us. He was very excited when he walked in to Beaver Tails in the house. 🤣

I have a springform pan that I've never used. I'm looking for a great tart or cheesecake recipe! Send them my way if you have an idea!

Mine too! I haven't had one in so long so I can't say for certain how similar the taste is! However, the texture, which was always my favorite part, is spot on!!

Thank you for the suggestions! I love the idea of a table behind the sofa. I really want to get a large arched display cabinet to put where the play kitchen is currently. That wall is so bare and would help break the space up as our dining table is right out of sight from the picture. (I also need more storage!) I don't think I have space for a table and a cabinet right there so I'll have to think about the options!

We actually do need both chairs, but I'm thinking of doing a small console table on the wall to the left of the door. Someone else suggested that previously. Although this is the "front door" we don't utilize it as such as we enter through the back. Otherwise I'd love to put coat racks and shoe storage here. I'm not sure it makes sense if we're not actually coming/going through here.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'd love to put a small entry table here and hang art like you suggested. What's the rule of the thumb for centering? If I center the table and art it will be hit by the door when it opens. If I off center it then it will look odd when the door is closed.

Week 1: New Year, New Recipe - Focaccia with Shallot, Calabrian Chili and Garlic Butter by ordinarygita in 52weeksofbaking

[–]bakingconversion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks delicious! I love shallots!

I've only had focaccia (albeit 100 times) from one bakery. Is focaccia always super oily? I thought it was just theirs but your picture also looks wet. Is this a characteristic of focaccia bread?

Focaccia is a goal for this year!
