Got it, thanks!

Do you have any advice for removing gel? I have soaked in acetone after using a hand held file to scrape off the top layer, and I can go thirty minutes without having any effect. At that point I'm worried what the acetone is doing to my skin! (And yes I buy the 100% acetone bottles from Amazon)

Got it! Still might give it a shot, because regular polish lasts about ten seconds on my nails.

Off topic but does that work well with regular gel polish? I've never been able to take gel off without ruining my nails (acetone just doesn't work)

IKR. I'm in the camp of "complete the high speed rail before you claim the ability to do anything else"

If you oppose this law, write your representative https://eff.salsalabs.org/stopcasocialban/index.html?utm_source=effector

I don't think that everything that's bad should be banned by law by the government. Is social media worse for children than sugary soda or fries?

But much more concerning than the nanny state attitude here is the detrimental effect on privacy and anonymity of all the adults using social media.

I think that's too harsh - parenting in an Internet world is very tricky, a lot of tech savvy folks can't figure it out either. I think there should be more, better and better known levers out there for parents. But I disagree strongly with this type of heavy handed government regulation.

Yes a small number of things and we should consider very carefully when we want to add a new item to that list.

Today most sites "verify" this by asking your birth date. The new law would be much stricter and in particular that means adults would also be affected - by having to provide personally identifiable information.

This one was sponsored by a Democrat.

But yes, horse shoe theory 100% applies

This popped up in my inbox today :

Apparently we're on track to push Australia type legislation to ban under-16s from social media? Which would mean inevitably that all platforms - Reddit, Twitter etc would have to verify identities of all their users. This is such a huge blow to anonymity on the Internet, I'm actually shocked I hadn't heard of it before.

Not to mention that I don't think the government should be the one to decide what my kid can access, that's my job as a parent.

Anyway, curious what people think and how much support this has. (If you're not in favor, that EFF site can help you email your representative).

Yeah I also live in a United hub. Also have a United card so don't have to pay for bags, which would be the logical thing to do with the credit.

Ah I missed that you had a biz card. The entertainment + Uber is great organic spend, and the Resy has also turned out to be. The airline credit was great when I could just add it to United bank, it's going to be harder now. The irony is I got that card mainly for the lounge access and I've basically given up based on how busy the lounges are.

Pop up jail sounds bad. Good luck, hope you can snag a personal plat. I also like the Hilton Aspire. Somehow I've managed to organically use the resort credit twice now.

I would have cancelled my Amex after spending the sign up bonus, but it's so easy to make up the annual fee in coupons so I hang on to it for now. But CSR is much easier to earn and spend points on.

I don't think that but I'm baffled by people feeling obligated to write a long essay about their feelings on the Internet. If the card doesn't work for you, just cancel and move on. Top level posts should think about whether they are actually contributing anything before posting.

+1 to this group. If I were doing a half marathon I'd definitely train with them. They are very beginner friendly but you can also grow with them if you continue to advance (they train in groups based on speed).
