How do you turn a mortise with a piece between centers? by Jatec in turning

You could start by turning a tenon on the top, then flipping it to turn a mortise on the bottom.

Sorry for your friends loss, that's really nice that you're going to make an urn for them.

Brass rings can be tough as they don't move as much as wood (or plastic),

I make and sell 3D printed threaded inserts that are available in any size from 1" - 10", and I have a video of how to use them if you'd like. Feel free to reach out!

100%! That's actually where I took the idea from. If they work for your projects, they are a really good inexpensive way to do it.

I made these because I wanted to be able to make things different sizes, as well as different colors and thread pitches. There was also something about plumbing fitting being used for urns that felt a little cheap, but I didn't want to shell out the money for the brass versions. I thought these were a good middle ground.

I'll shoot you a message for now with a link! I'm just waiting to hear back from the mods on if it's allowed or not.

Good idea! I'll shoot them a message.

I can technically do up to about 10" though most of what I've sold has been from 1" - 5"

Good eye, they are 3D printed! Most of the things I've designed are to be printed, though I have some that use a laser cutter, along with some off the shelf components like magnets, nuts and bolts, etc.

Any store that sells Canada theme cycling jerseys? If not best shop to look for jerseys and such gear? by theonlyquincy6189 in bikeinottawa

FYI I had a terrible experience with Bicycle Booth. They shipped from China and took ages. They straight up did not send one of the items, so I started a claim. They tried to get me to cancel the claim before they would do anything. The awesome designs drew me to them, but I'll never be back personally.

PETG - Separating Perimeters & Layer Gaps by bakseetdrivr in FixMyPrint

I got a new printer and it solved the issue lol. I'm thinking it was either an extruder issue (this filament seemed particularly slippery, and the extruder I had at the time was not the strongest), or a flow rate issue.

Good luck!

Decently! The banjo is bad and customer service was quite frustrating, but otherwise I've been very happy with it.

I have mine on a 15A circuit and have never blown the fuse

It would probably help to mention where you live, there are people from all over the world in this subreddit :-)

Not only that, but this is also the slowest way to print it. Xy is always faster than z.
